Most guys on scholarship could produce if given the minutes, it's all a numbers game, it's part of the game. There will be 4 or 5 guys on every bench in a similar situation.

Great to see kevin doing well. Absolutely! Kevin is terrific young man. If your daughter brought Jevin through the front door, you’d be the happiest parent on earth. Hope he has a great finish to his college career.

I'm glad he finally has a coach that knows his game and how to utilize it. Johnson wanted him to be a center and didn't play him upon realizing that's not his game. Patsos never gave him a chance to show what he could do from day 1, so again he rotted on the bench. Enter JC. "Oh you're a three point shooting 6'9, 220 lb guy who's game is more like a guard than a forward? Perfect, that's my kinda player. You're starting." Four years of his college career wasted by idiots. Thank God for JC giving him his final year to make up for lost time. Good grief.

But the fact that he was recruited to Fairfield, and then welcomed to Siena, doesn't make either Sidney Johnson or Jimmy Patsos an "idiot", as sienafan suggests. They may have made a mistake in what they thought they were getting in Kevin, but that doesn't either man an "idiot".

But upon discovering what he was, making him rot on the bench instead of utilizing that newly discovered skill set does make them idiots.

Some guys are going to rot on the bench on this team and it won't be popular with some out here. Part of D1 sports.

Well it kind of does.... i won't pretend to know what he was like in HS or AAU, but I have to think he wasn't a down low, post presence and suddenly forgot how to do that... if you recruit a kid based on what he does, and then ask him to do something completely different and then wonder why it's not working, that is a tad idiotic..... and i wonder what conversations were had with Kevin?? would he go somewhere knowing that they were not going to use him as he thought??

Successful coaches put kids in position to succeed, try to emphasize their strengths and hide their weakness. So/so or bad coaches try to pigeon hole every kid into "their" system. And A big reason why JP and Sidney are so-so head coaches both below 500 lifetime

Wow, the kid has one good game and now he's Larry Bird and every coach he's ever had before JC is a "idiot?!" Trust me, NO ONE wanted him coming out of FF, so maybe the last idiot did him a favor?

So in an 8-24 season, you don't think he could have been used better? All of a sudden, he learned how to contribute? You can't be THAT clueless! LOL
