has anyone checked to see if Friday's room was emptied out in the middle of the night? If JC can get Sammy to buy in, he could play an important role next year. As we all witnessed over the last two years, when Sammy was on the court he typically contributed in a positive way. It was always his conditioning that held him back from becoming a bigger role player/contributor. I don’t have any idea what the thought process was about which players played how many minutes in any of the games, and maybe some concern about conditioning played a part in the time Sammy got on the court, but he didn’t seem to have too much of a problem when the Saints played at Louisville this past season. Sammy had 15 points and 15 rebounds in twenty-four minutes on the floor. Three days later, he played only fifteen minutes against Albany, scoring seven points and getting three rebounds. Two days after that, he played only eight minutes at Vermont, did not score, had two rebounds, and was called for three fouls. Within five days, he went from having the best game of his career against a Power Five conference opponent, to being a non-factor against a strong Vermont team. Did his conditioning deteriorate that much in less than a week? I’m hoping that we see a lot more of Sammy next season, on a more consistent basis.
