Who will lead the new coach search? That is the issue now. Hopefully a qualified search committee is hired or has been.

Agreed, and maybe that happened already.

A decade is 10 years my man. 10 years ago Siena won it's first of 3 straight maac titles. One of best things about getting a new coach, Siena will go back to its rightful place and Click will go back to being a cuckold What's a cuckold? English second language here... Rightful place... Lol. I saw your posts when patsos was hired... Trust me you don't want me to quote them... Lol. Good luck, you'll need it.

Agreed, and maybe that happened already. Good guess. It was hard watching D'Arg lie about the search during the live presser, but I understand why he had to.

Chris Onorato Verified account @chrisonorato 1m1 minute ago More As @rodgerwyland just reported on @wnyt, Jimmy #Patsos has resigned from Siena. The buyout is roughly $350,000 of the owed $1.1M. Siena’s investigation has concluded & didn’t carry enough for “just cause” firing. Which is exactly what I said and you got all "let me get some Siena board props" attitudy. I was right. What he did was poor judgement on multiple occasions, but they were not fireable offenses. Both sides did the right thing and settled it. Took longer than it should have, but done.

Who will lead the new coach search? That is the issue now. My preference would be the current AD.

Yankee it’s called the law of diminishing returns. Cost out the negotiations and simply finish at the least cost to the school, don’t let it metastasize into something more.

It's commonly used as a term to describe men who get off watching their women eff other men.

First of all, most don't want a D2 coach let alone a successful high school coach. Also, look at bigger picture with Patso gone, so is under armour (not a loss in my humble opinion). So. Where do you find a young up and comer who has the backing of a HOFer that he knows will always answer his phone call AND who comes with a connection to the Rocks and NIKE. HMMMMMMMM.... I'm not advocating for the hiring of any high school coach, although I think most would agree Siena would have gotten more band for its buck if it had hired Butch Mardigan, Don Bassett or Paul Lyons rather than Beyer, Orr, Ferguson, Mitch or Patsos. I want the premier high school coach in the country, who has huge, proven success at small private and Catholic schools, much like Siena. Kevin Boyle checks all the boxes needed to be a success. He's recruited and coached more talented players than Siena has ever had in its program. He's had more than 15 of his former players drafted by the NBA. Who and when was Siena's last NBA draft pick? Boyle has an excellent reputation for coaching and developing players. He's the most respected high school coach in the country and has references from some of the best Division I coaches in the country. He plays anyone anywhere and he wins. He's won more big postseason games than any coach Siena has ever had not named McCaffrey. If I recall correctly, the Marist women's program did quite well -- unprecedented success postseason success for a MAAC program -- when it hired high school coach Brian Giorgis, who at the time was the best girls coach in New York State. Boyle is the best coach in the country. His high school teams the past four or five years had more talent than 90 percent of the MAAC programs. He would rank with Cluess as the best coach in the MAAC if Siena was smart enough to hire him, which I doubt will happen. I'm sure the crew in charge in Loudonville doesn't even know how the hell he is. Instead, they wiill use the same format to hire previous coaches ... Beilein has the pedigree, will get big headlines in local papers and a mention on ESPN because of daddy. Well, Lanier and Orr were hired because of bloodlines and their ability to make a splash because of their name ... both failed miserably. If Siena wants to hire a Division II coach, hire Brian Beaury, who has accomplished much more than Beilein has in three seasons at LeMoyne. Siena needs a proven winner who can change the program's fortunes. For what it is willing to pay or can pay, they will not get anything near the success of what Kevin Boyle has accomplished as a coach. Give me an experience proven winner over a young up and-comer who has accomplished very little.

I know I am late to this party - but a party it is!!!!!!!!! Finally, I get to have feelings again I have not had for far too long - feelings of HOPE, EXCITEMENT, ANTICIPATION- stuff that college basketball fans are made of. I will renew my season tickets, I will give to Saints Alive, I will follow the Saints with renewed enthusiasm and support. Here is the thing - I think we all knew for a while that despite what JP was saying, what he was doing in terms of how he handled these kids lacked respect and dignity. It got downright embarrassing, and I don't mean the wins and losses, I mean how he acted as a representative of the college, how he treated those around him, how he treated the media. A good example is Marissa Jacques (spelling??) who is a terrific person, sincere, and a hard worker, and she handled every interview with class, something that JP does not even come close to. So, it is on to the excitement of a new coach, new players entering the program, and once again competing for a MAAC title!!!!!!! Sign me up for that! Need I say.............. Go Saints!

He us only coaching part time as he approaches retirement and has had health issues. The time to hire him was 8 years ago if ever he wanted it. I think Beilein is more than his name if that is the choice. Gerry Mac has verbalize that he isn't ready and I think he needs to leave Cuse to gain steam toward a HC position. It might come down to the best choice who wants the job for what salary is being offered and I don't think Tobin will as long as Darg is here.

Heard another rumor that Gerry McNamara could be in the mix. Perhaps we're too quick with Beilein. Hopefully a coach is named within a week. We don't need this going on the rest of the month. The late signing period is already under way. Need to move quickly and get it right of course! Go Saints! Could you waffle any more. Thought belien was a done deal.....sit this one out man.
