Click is obviously a guy who never played organized sports on a team. This is not a big deal. Elementary cyo team, different story. Played organizated football and basketball throughout high school and I can guarantee you Iâve never saw anything that resembled this kind of BS. . Me neither. Yankee is off his rocker on this one. Maybe he had a bad childhood and just doesnât know any better.

You reap what you sow. Although Iâd be willing to bet he was âlikingâ the âoff your rockerâ part. But, not surprisingly, you probably donât get that concept either.

But that's ok, the poster who posted those comments appears to lack civility, at least in that moment of time. Some are insinuating the bus incident is equivalent to child/college student abuse. It is simply not.

It is simply not. I was with you in the first paragraph of your post Yank, but I just donât get where youâre coming from on this bus allegation. What conceivably positive rationale could there be for a leader (in any leadership position, not necessarily a basketball coach) to do such a thing as is alleged? What possible benefit could be derived by making two people who are part of your organization chase after a bus on which every other member of the organization is riding to an event in which the organization is participating? What does the leader of the organization hope to achieve by leaving two members of the group behind? Can you understand why the leaderâs superiors (those higher up the org chart) might consider the leaderâs action contrary to the overall goals of the organization, and why they would find such action a serious breach of the leaderâs responsibilities and job duties? The leader is on record as saying he âlovesâ the people who were left behind to run after the bus. That statement is not consistent with the alleged action.

And to add a bit to S22's take - some have said this is no big deal as players are asked to run further and harder at a practice. I've been to well in excess of a hundred practices over the years run by bad, good and excellent Siena coaches and have never ONCE seen a manager tagged as having to run ANY DISTANCE. Just to refresh memories, the manager who got called "insane" after taking the first picture and then having to chase the bus is the same OCD manager that Oh-no affectionately tagged as the Unabomber - just a chance happening? I think not - just abuse from a sick, sick person. To defend that act would let you share a semi-private room with him at a mental rehab facility...I think there used to be one of note in Yankee's backyard....

It is simply not. There are varying degrees of abuse. Don't make it sound like anybody is putting this on a par with serious abuse, nor did anyone say it was a child. I think the term most everybody has used was 'bullying'. Are you trying to say it is an acceptable action by a coach/teacher?

Ive been both -on both sides: as a student- athlete and also a coach. I was a HS teacher (30+years) at an area school which prides itself on its athletic prowess, and I can unequivocally say if anyone in a leadership role left a player or student, there'd be all sorts of negative ramifications which could seriously impact a teaching career or result in the lack thereof.

That is more taxing than having to walk 7 tenths of a mile. They weren't walking in an unknown city and had to find a way to destination. 7 tenths of a mile is in site.

This is my problem. It appears Siena is trying to accumulate a lot of small infractions/poor judgment into a fire able offense. You could do that with most anyone in any job if you really wanted to. Siena knew he was a yeller. Siena has seen him get right in kids faces during games. But it appears that because they don't want to pay what they agreed to, they are ruining a man's life. It is wrong.
