Addition of a Masters Program is long overdue. Given the apparent fact that we are stuck with So-so for the foreseeable future and his 70% transfer rate, Siena might be better suited adding an Associates program as well...

If my memory serves me right, Siena did have many graduate programs, but those ended in the 1970s, because the college wanted to focus on the undergraduate experience.
What graduate programs should the Siena go after next?

they should add an online MS in Literacy for secondary students (teacher certification in NYS requires a Masters). Even UA doesn't have an online MS in Literacy for secondary students (teaching 7-12) so our daughter is getting hers via Oneonta . Siena truly has an exemplary education program, and since this next step is required, online is a great way for students to earn a graduate while working. Many simply can't afford a fifth year of college before hitting the work force. FYI, my best student teachers were from Siena, second best from St Rose and Union. Dead last was the UA student teachers who both quit mid season! Totally over their heads.

Maybe a Masters in Nursing or something like that?

I think Siena will have to be careful with the new venture as they will become the third MBA program in the area (Clarkson and RPI are already established) and UA offers an MPA (Master of Public Administration) program, so maybe even the newest of 4 programs. On-line is one avenue but I don't think it helps the BBall team with residency requirements, however I might be wrong on that. The merger with St Rose might be less desirable based on St Rose's independent ranking by outside publications, perhaps lowering Siena's overall academic ranking. Lots of careful analysis and thought will need to be done.
