I will say, I don't know Patsos personally enough to say he's a good or bad guy, he's just bad at his job. It seems like he has the public personality where if he's succeeding and winning championships or just coming close, a heck of a lot of people would love his him especially potential recruits at the high school age. It just doesn't work when he's losing year in year out and isn't doing his job. I know I'd love him if we had some good and great seasons even if we lost in 2 championship games but I've been calling for him to be fired for 2 years now because he just isn't the man for the job

PV is just as much of a tool as JP. While the program is currently down and has been for a while, this on going call by some to drop to D2 is pure BS. Very stupid comments. The College competes at D1 across all sports both men and women. Saints Men's Basketball will be back (once they get rid of JP). Stop with the D2 crap by the Drama Queens. I don’t think anyone is actually suggesting Siena drop to D2. Its more a call of, if you are fine with losing, why are you at this level? Why are you trying to compete at a level where making NCAA Tournaments is the goal with tons of money on the line and your AD is considering keeping a coach who went 8-24 and got blown out on his home floor in the conference tournament? A lot of teams in D1 don’t act like they are D1, and Siena for the most part does but in this circumstance is threatening the future of the program. I’m not sure what the next couple of weeks hold, but I don’t see how you can tell people you believe in competing as a top mid-major (which isn’t as far away as some think) and then bring back a coach who just went 8-24 and threw his entire roster under the bus. He basically said “I recruited a bunch of role players, we need stars”. He couldn’t manage his one elite talent, and now is hoping to find stars by recruiting freshmen (not that he has other options). Even if he lands say Nick Timberlake and Dom Welch, this isn’t more than a 13-15 win team next year at best. Maybe it builds to a contender in 2-3 years, but we saw the last time he had a decent roster that he’s not likely to reach expectations. Act fast, act now. Show us a vision for the program. Show us that this isn’t acceptable. Show us a new head coach.

he is also beyond DELUSIONAL........he actually said he is ONE impact player away from turning this around next yr (that ship he would use for Smithens spot)................UM, not sure a top 20 recruit or LeBron James is walking through the door to save his ass anytime soon..................clearly he needs stronger meds, thinks that the fanbase truly believes that....................

I predict he is fired by Wednesday I'll take that but I'd rather he be fired by D'Argenio... I'm going with Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. I prefer they both get fired. But D'Arg will hang around for a little longer before being "eased" out is my prediction.

Coach Excuse talks bravely, taking full responsibility for this season. Does he know he isn't going anywhere? The way this season crash ended is so reminiscent of the year we were blown out by 40 pts by Canisius in the first round. The first red flag for me indicating this season was going nowhere was the exhibition game at the Arc that we lost to D2 LeMoyne.

The most memorable moment of his too long tenure. Telling the world Siena will tolerate buffoon like behavior. In other words, there is no atmosphere of professionalism here. Win graciously, loose graciously, work hard, stay humble.
