Sincere congrats from a Marist fan on your season. Your team really plays hard, and the coach seems to get the most out of her talent, I think you finishing third is a more impressive coaching job than Q finishing first, though I know that's not how coach-of-the-year voting goes. And one more congrats for her career to Scarbrough. See you guys next year.

If we could have made some layups off all those turnovers the Lady Saints created we could be playing today. But enough would-ofs/could-ofs, Great season Ladies go get them next year!!!

Have to greatly admire that each time over the past three years when the team hit a "bump" in the road they were able to readjust within a few games . . . if you could only use one word to describe the program it has to be "tenacity"

It was a good year for the ladies, but they are losing a lot to graduation, hopefully Ali finds some good recruits.
I have a feeling Marist will be at the top with Quinny behind them. Not sure how our ladies will fare.

I would have picked Siena second this year if Benitez hadn't bolted. The teams struggled to score and she was developing into a dynamic offensive player. Will Edoka return? Having her in the lineup makes a big difference for Siena next season, IMO. Sims and Edoka is a strong MAAC front court. You get Severova back too. Outside of Marist and Q a lot of really good players are graduating this May. I think the middle of the MAAC is wide open again.
Regarding Marist and Q. next season, I stands to reason that Q. will be picked first. Carly Fabbri graduates but they keep the more important Fabbri at the helm. The Martin kid will handle the point and they return a senior dominated lineup that won't be intimidated by anyone in the MAAC. Fay should be the preseason POY. Marist was young this year and also had 4 players who they were counting on (starting pg Claire Oberdorf, Starting 2 guard Hannah Hand, 1st off the bench guard Allie Clement and RS Freshman forward Molly Smith) miss the entire league schedule. The Foxes will be older and wiser, but will they be deeper? They need to get a couple of those players back for effective depth in order to counter Q's gold rush and experience.

Not sure how our ladies will fare. Ali did a great job recruiting and signed all her 18-19 freshmen in the early signing period. I think it was 5 scholarships filled.

Agree, and I can certainly be thrilled to 'lose a lot' to graduation and consider the following season a 'rebuilding'.
