I know, without Penn, there's less options but Jimmy really still seems to have no vision.
Basically, the rotations are just a big lottery now.
Without Penn, if you still want to rebound, Friday needs to play.
If you want to try to take care of the ball and shoot...Smithen, Richard, Horn, Heurter, Fisher a lot.
But we're all over the place. The lineups have no real statistical strengths vs. the competition on paper. Yeah, they're more role players so that's more likely to happen but there are still things that could be done.
They're just throwing darts at a dartboard now and they continue to run the offense thru Oduro when he is, by the numbers, the least efficient scoring option.
They have no chance to win like this. I don't think they win any more games.

Please remind me why we practice we talking about practice.I think this team should pull a mutiny refuse to run the offense. What he going to do bench them. Sammy's stats - 4 minutes , 5 points and 4 rebounds!!! WTF is wrong with Pastos? ??

That's the most frustrating thing watching this season fold out.He never had a vision and it sucks cause he has more pieces then a lot of teams in this conference.Contrary to others belief

Oddly enough, he and I share the traits of getting the 'feel' of a game rather than relying on analytics. What I can't explain is why I can - 'feel' the tempo of the game change when we are about to lose any lead we ever get - 'feel' the other team coming with a 10-0 run that will knock us on our ass never to recover - 'feel' when a combo of ours on the floor isn't working (defender watching ball handler go by, opposing sharpshooter left wide open) - 'feel' when we are mathematically eliminated at the 14:00 min mark of the second half and last but not least after last night - 'feel' like the entire team is a rudderless ship; about the only thing that is in sync is the entire bench standing applause for any point scored. At the pace we score, that isn't enough activity to cause a tic on the old fit bit.

I feel that some deep inner reflection is needed not only in the program but as many of you here know (and now some have conceded) about the academic profile of the College. I feel that in order for this to happen it is time for the College to blossom and be guided by contemporary leaders. The narcissism of hiring from within in all departments has to stop and they need to look outside for the best candidates to take them forward. This is especially true in the athletic department. The landscape of Division 1 athletics is again changing. I first said years ago that only having 1 master's program would hurt the flagship basketball program and limit 5th year transfers.....
I will root for all student athletes at Siena. I applaud the programs that live in the shadow of the basketball program and the kids who work just as hard on their sport and academics but are given little to no glory. But when a conscious decision is made to put the flagship program in the hands of someone so volatile, I am afraid that I 'feel' the future is very bleak.

So-so through Thomas and Evan under the bus for the defensive lapse just before the half - explains why Thomas was nailed to the bench at the start of the second half - if my memory serves me Evan was in - must be Thomas was the culprit - love how so-so is so-so quick to name players to cover his own shortcomings - also needs to watch video of the game quickly to see what really was going on - guess our seats are better than those on the bench - most things seem pretty clear to me Pretty sure fisher gave up 10 of the 1st 12 pts of the second half, yet he got to stay in.... he is an odd duck that JP. Change a couple of d's to an "l" and an "f" and you nailed it....LOL

Well he is running out of people to nail to the bench. And how peculiar last night that Greg and Watson were in the first two chairs and JP sat next to the DOBO with a player or two in between? Maybe it's just me. Its you. Like that every game.

Sorry to say I just couldn’t take watching another Siena game last night. A bunch of us got together for a few beers at City Line and went to the UVM UA game last night. Best local game I’ve seen all season. Gotta hand it to Becker he’s a great coach. Fun contest watching UVM come back and close it out last night. I really wish there was a way to get Becker to Siena.

Tonight was nothing but terrible. Prince played very well and was finally able to hit some free throws. The one thing that confuses me and always will is the fact that Jimmy decides who he's going to play based on practice. You can NOT do that. You must let the players play through their mistakes or they won't learn. If that's why he's not playing Sammy it has to be one of if not the stupidest thing I've heard of. At this point I'm for having Sammy start especially since Jimmy wants to play 2 bigs to start. Fisher was ok on offense but he has to be the worst defensive player that I have ever seen. He was getting taken to the hoop by guys who are a good 6-8 inches shorter than him. That's just embarrassing. Prince is going through his freshman growing pains in fouling but has been much better lately than earlier in the season in limiting his fouls. Sammy deserves a ton of credit even if he only played for 4 minutes. 5 points and 4 rebounds, now that's production and production that should not go unnoticed It's not based on practice. I know this for a fact. It just sounds like a good excuse. Degnan earned a start in practice supposedly then gets pulled after a missed shot not seen again till late in the 2nd. Friday gets no mins because Oduro is out there learning on the job. Fisher can pass and shoot so he can play the 4 and is a fav so Degnan who is a stretch 4 does not get mins either PO played very well might be a stretch 4-9 FGM/FGA missed some easy lay-ups. Made some good shots too though. Funny how someone misses half his free throws 4-8 and that's playing very well. He missed as many as he made. If Siena was a good team, those missed free throws would lose games, as it is it doesn't really matter. Did you see the guys on the bench when he made 2 in a row they were shocked and so excited you would of thought they won a game. Maybe it's a start of something but shooting 50% from the line isn't good. Yes good for prince, but not good. I know you're looking for something positive out of this mess but PO is very average at this point IMO. It all comes down to conditioning I believe. If he wasn't so tired he could possibly make more free throws too. I agree Sammy should definitely be playing more. Friday should get as much time or more than PO.
