I’m sorry, something doesn’t add up here. Yes, Patsos and Nico aren’t clicking. Yes, Nico has been up and down. But why would JP get rid of his best player if he’s on the hot seat? Does he think the team will improve without Nico? If so, that’s quite a bet that I know I wouldn’t be taking (beyond the fact that getting rid of one of your captains midseason is an awful look).
Given that I haven’t heard the inside stuff on this (other than that he’s a lot to deal with) I can’t make too many statements on the matter. But there has to be more here.

Nico has 1.5 left, smartest man in America leaving. I truly hope he does well elsewhere.

I'm sure Nico is being shopped this weekend, if he finds a landing spot he likes he is gone, if not who knows JP and Nico could "make up"

The drama between these two is Days of Our Lives quality. Search for Tomorrow, from my formative years, pops into mind. I know JP relies entirely on the History Channel, incapable of getting to the "tomorrow" Siena yearns to regain. I hope Nico finds his "tomorrow" - he has too much talent to have it wasted. As for JP, history (i.e., his trip to the National Championship) will not be repeated, we can only hope he becomes "history" here sooner rather than later....

Although his time at Siena was cut short He left us with many positive memories. I wish him and his family the best in times to come.

Is there an answer to half the stuff that Pastos pulls/does that makes sense?

Gears started in motion first time he didn’t start ... I’m sure he was bombarded from his Baltimore handlers that he was being disrespected .... sound familiar

This is so Lanier like it's eerie, except Rob has learned and grown over the years. Not having parenting skills can kill you as a head coach when you have a volatile talented player. Not putting these kids first over your social agenda will kill you as well. MY HUMBLE OPINION.

Someone on the other board (not getting into who) said he was told that orders came from someone with more authority at the college to not start Nico to force the situation. LOL My response: Entire reason given is utter nonsense. I’m calling BS. Truth be told Rex was messing with Nico’s head with the non-starter BS and it backfired badly. No way DArg or the College president are going to get involved in that kind of mind game or at that level. If they wanted the kid gone he would have been suspended or asked to leave. The entire excuse makes no sense either don’t start him but then run him out to play for 30 minutes? Entire excuse is bull and ridiculous.

No way DArg or the College president are going to get involved in that kind of mind game or at that level. If they wanted the kid gone he would have been suspended or asked to leave. I tend to agree. That might be the explanation being given, but I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe somebody higher than a coach would be dictating playing time, besides suspension, as you say.

Said before the season started an implosion was imminent. Tip of the iceberg!
