Cal Poly went 9-22 last season (with 2 of those wins coming against non-D1 schools, plus they lose 3 of their top 5 scorers and have a coach on the hot seat. I feel pretty good about winning that game at home. I hope that the other 2 games we added are very winnable as well, but perhaps with a little more regional intrigue (perhaps a home and home with James Madison or Drexel). No problem with this game (and if the last two are weak that’s fine too)...very good chance for a win need to build confidence with a new team and staff. I would guess we’ll probably schedule maybe a Stanford, UCLA etc money game in 2019-20 for a two game road trip out west.

Has anyone heard any rumors about what other oc home games there are, or is it too soon to be concerned about that?

Too early to be concerned... only 75 of 350 D1 teams have released their non-conference schedule. Based on what the media has been saying every game or all but 1 has been scheduled, we just are missing 2 names. They should be out soon enough.

No UAlbany and only 12 games instead of 13

Non-conference schedule is out. Only 12 games instead of the typical 13. I’m thinking 4-8 or 5-7. Only game we didn’t know was Colgate, which should be a top 5 Patriot League team. Rough home slate: 0 games with students on campus and 2 of 4 home games during Thanksgiving week, and the other 2 are non-regional rivalries.

Looks like UA game is off for at least this year...Siena wouldn't release their schedule it there was a chance to fit UA in. Schedule is fine for a team in rebuilding mold. I'd be ecstatic if we somehow got to 6-6 but 4-8/5-7 would be understandable too. Although we could have scheduled another game (31 game regular season game limit) why schedule a weak game and have to play that team next year? Next year I believe the only series scheduled to continue are Colgate, Cal Polly, and St. Bonaventure (we'll see if UAlbany returns). Of course next year we'll only have 11 OOC games when the MAAC goes back to 20 league games (which I think is a mistake - 18 is better). I expect Jamion to play a challenging schedule if we're the contender we hope to be in the 2019-2020 season.

I'm more confused why we wouldn't go play another road game to get that team to come here the following season.

Disappointing schedule in that there are only 4 home games. I don't care much about the competition in year one of a new coach but hate having 8 of 12 games on the road or at neutral sites. I see that they expect to add one more home game.
JC won 75% of his home games at the Mount (a stat that good teams/coaches hit). I'd expect the Saints to play around 50% of their OOC games at home going forward. Hopefully this is a function of a new coach getting a late start on scheduling and a season where a lot of contracts ended.
It's going to be weird not having Vermont or Albany on the schedule.

I'm fine with schedule, and I understand why UA and Benson walked away, UA struggles mightily filling their small gym, the Siena game was a financial windfall for them. UA is our rear view mirror now as I expect the two programs to go in opposite directions over next few years. I expect the strength of schedule to increase significantly over next few years as Jamion continues to upgrade our talent, I expect attendance to take a nice spike upward!!
