There were 92 players invited to the event and only 14 were drafted. There were only 3 rookies there that were measured by their college career. The rest were seasoned vets with NBA and overseas careers. Several have been out of college for 10+ years. The college they graduated from had no barring. Once you begin your pro career those stats and level are what you are measured by
Jordan Washington played well as a big and was one of the 2 rookies selected. It helped that he was the MVP and went to the NCAA'S. Same thing for the other rookie who had good college stats from a HM school that went to the NCAA'S.
Lavon must build up his resume as a pro to open doors for him next season.

Lavon should do well. Looks like mostly players from lower mid-major schools. The college you went to does not matter after you have played as a pro for at least one year. This showcase will allow the players to be seen and evaluated on the spot. The scouts will look at the pro careers of the vets and the college careers of the rookies

Maybe if he doesn't get an offer after this camp he will wise up and try to out his degree to work. In the long run entering the work force and building up his resume may prove to be a better strategy

If they think you can play, you get drafted and paid. Makes no difference what your "resume" says. They saw all the prospects in person, they made their evaluation. It is brutal, but it is reality.

There are only 20 spots. Lavon was a long shot to get drafted due to his profile. There is a job for him tho. Today is RBA sports showcase in NYC. He will get more exposure.
