You don't know me bigsaintg... one thing I am not is lazy... so I would appreciate you avoid the personal attacks. I am quite confident in my work ethic. Typical response on here. Attacks with no personal knowledge or facts to back up what is posted. I asked for coaches names... still have not seen any posted and no MAAC Schools or coaches named. He names three coaches 17 hours ago go back and read was my point

I think the point hoopdad is missing is that, even if no other D1 coaches were there, we should have been there - it's our backyard - not being there tells me there is a short timer's attitude in play

A bunch of people are saying trust the coach and staff, they've done this for years etc.... well based on that track record, I'd think that is exactly why they should be doing different things, hustling working twice as hard...the recruiting of this latest regime has been mediocre at best....so resting on their laurels because they have done this before is not exactly a settling thought. unless he doesn't GAF, then he shouldn't be here anyway. Interesting times at Siena.....

Which D1 and specifically MAAC Head Coaches are there? Is will Brown there? I dont care how many MAAC head coaches are here. OURS should be. It's OUR section. OUR backyard. WE under performed. WE lost 4 starters. It's def true that these things are usually for assistants, and I found out that we had guys there Friday night, but not Saturday. I already shared who I personally saw. If you doubt me, thats fine. Thats your issue. Mitch B. was even there. Maryland was represented by ex-Siena coach Cliff Warren. Syracuse by Gerry McNamara. Mich St by Mike Garland. I saw/spoke to assistants from Vermont and UAlbany. Binghamton was there. Not sure who else. I didn't really move from my section. No one is saying they expect Steve Masiello to drive 4+ hours to the tourney, but to drive 45 min and make an appearance at an event where the best HS coaches and players in the state are, other college coaches etc...yup, that should be a no-brainer.

Do anyone on here know for sure that our coaches weren't somewhere else recruiting? And yes I know our head coach is on vacation. The only reason for them to be in GF was if they were looking at possible recruits. If they weren't interested in anyone playing there, why be there?

Also, it still blows my mind that our coach took a vacation to Southeast Asia the 3rd week of March. granted there was small chance we make sweet 16 but man you had to have scheduled this trip some time ago. It's not like an impromptu trip to Florida or DC. Just make me think he is not into it anymore and having people tell me he complains about the pressure in social settings just adds to my belief he wants out bad but can't afford to leave

Not surprising but would start to explain the "hard to explain" reason why JP is vacationing in such an inappropriate time of the season. Very disheartening!

At this point I don't even have anger at the HC. It's the administration who bears the responsibility for this cluckerf%%%

The only reason for them to be in GF was if they were looking at possible recruits. If they weren't interested in anyone playing there, why be there? I'll tell you why. A kid for LaSalle (NYC) blew up this weekend. He's a 6'4" guard ('18),and every D-1 coach in that arena is definitely reaching out to this kid. Not in the building, you're already behind for next year. The team from Rochester that AA beat Saturday had a 6'5" sophomore that was very impressive. I'm sure Vermont got a head start on that kid after his performance on Saturday.

College coaches also go to high school and AAU tournaments to network with other college coaches and to meet and create relationships with high school coaches.

Remember this thread whenever somebody posts that patsos doesn't shoot the lay ups, defend the perimeter or grab the rebounds next season.
