I am sitting here at Ithaca College at a swim meet and thinking what an amazing facility they have just for swim and it's a D3 school. The attached field house and all the infrastructure is also amazing. If I didn't know the classifications having been to both Ithaca and Siena you would think Ithaca is the D1 school. I will have to research it but I wonder if they just have more rich alumni who donate and we just need more of those types or they fund raise better. Not a criticism of Siena just an observation as I have new sitting here since 6:10 am

Ithaca is a beautiful institution. I stay about a mile from it 4,5 times a year with relatives. According to the relatives who have apartments for Cornell students the Ithaca kids are well behaved. Not sure what their endowment is, but its not cheap. Bigsaint just don't forget one thing, Ithaca is noted as 10 square miles surrounded by reality. Go to the commons for lunch you'll love the atmosphere.

Great college town and for the population of students from both institutions you don't hear a lot of bad behavior. As I said take a ride down the hill to the commons if you have the chance, great bars with food, Or a little grill just down the hill 3 minutes from college, called sunset I believe. Know about swim meets, torture on parents coach's. Have fun.

Nice college town but IC looks like a concrete prison with a beautiful view. Was never enamored with the campus's esthetics buiding wise.

I have always thought of it as generally a 'rich-people' school for the parents whose kids could not get into Cornell. Also, double the number of students and specializes in media/communication/arts type majors.

I attended Ithaca for a year before transferring to Siena. It's a GREAT school! However, the Cornell population makes the town very "preppy" and there is no nightlife. Not to mention the lake effect snow storms are horrible!
