Marquis and Brett got 2nd team. No one else.
Quis got screwed on 1st team, and I think Lavon belonged on the 3rd team.

Long definitely belonged on 3rd team. Interesting that Hornbeak didn't make it. That guy can play! Thought he almost should have been switched with Seaborn.

Yes Long got screwed.. as did Hornbeak .. but lets face it Siena didnt have the kind of year predicted- Siena under achieved - hard to get more than 2 guys on All MAAC teams when you are a sub 500 team

As much as I would have loved to see Long get a nod, no team got more than 2 guys on an All-maac squad. Iona and FF only got 1 each despite being top 5 teams yet Rider and Canisius got 2 each.
Plenty of players will have something to prove or chips on their shoulder going into the tournament. I would have switched Nelson and Wright ... and maybe replaced one of the Rider guys with a guard from Iona. Beyond that, I thought the teams were pretty good.

Lavon deserved it for sure for the way he has been playing second half of season.

Lavon deserved it for sure for the way he has been playing second half of season. Let’s be honest- Lavon was our best player this year and should have been no lower than a second team selection. I’m surprised Brett got second team recognition rather than Lavon. I hope this provides added motivation for Lavon to prove them wrong this weekend. Congrats to Marquis and Brett on their selection.

Well Jaden (dailydoseofhoops) thought Nico might get 6th man. Not saying I know anything (as hoopjunkie will tell you ) but it makes one wonder if they are sending a message that a suspension or leave of absence could eliminate you from league accolades.

The opposing coaches vote, so if a player is suspended and doesn't play against a all of teams they don't get to see him first hand against their squad. That can play into not being rated above another player who played well in both games against those teams. Just a thought.

I can't imagine getting suspended or taking a mid-season leave of absence scores any points with any coach regardless of how well they play in front of them.

Congrats to Brett and Quis - glad for both of these guys, but now let's forget about this and get down to the real business everyone signed on for - Go Saints!

I hope he will. It's a good time to test his new found maturity in that it is the last chance to put himself on the radar for any further opportunities to play.
