Marist edges Canisius, 76-74. Saints alone in third, a game up on Groff's and 1.5 up on Fairfield.

Can't believe they pulled it out with those crazy refs we had against Manhattan. Charging fouls? C'mon man!

Of corse I meant fourth - combo of wishful thinking and hope for what happens in the remaining MAAC games. St. Peter's and Fairfield make the Buffalo trip next weekend, which at a minimum guarantees two losses among those schools and Canisius, and Niagara could beat either or both. If Siena wins out, and that is a big "if," we can finish second if St. Peter's loses once in western NY. We would hold the tiebreaker vs. Peacocks with the win in New Rochelle and if Monmouth beats Iona, the tie breaker over the Gaels with our win over Monmouth.

With FF's loss at SPU Siena's magic number for clinching a first round bye is 1.
For Siena to finish second they need two wins, two SPU losses (Buffalo trip) and Iona to lose at home to Monmouth or one SPU loss and two Iona losses.
Siena 13-7 Iona 13-7 St. Peter's 12-8
Stranger things have happened!

Woulda, coulda, shouda, It didn't happen, it is what it is. All that is left is to play the games in front of you and let the chips fall. That should do it for all the relevant hackneyed remarks. Go Saints.
