Just a good ugly win. Really ugly, but any win qualifies as a good one. A week to prepare for Monmouth. Defense will be the key.

I'm rooting for a Fairfield win tomorrow. Hopefully that's a good idea. As long as Siena beats Marist and Fairfield then loses to Monmouth then a Fairfield win tomorrow would not hurt us too much. I don't see how Siena can finish in the top 3 unless they beat Monmouth. I guess they could get there at 12-8 if SPU loses out (FF, @ Niagara, @ Canisius) but then Canisius would have to lose their next two games (at Marist, Fairfield) before beating St. Peter's. Or have Iona lose out (Rider, Manhattan, Monmouth) and that's not going to happen. Basically it comes down to beating Monmouth if Siena wants to finish in the top 3. Siena is in terrible shape with top 3 tiebreakers unless they beat Monmouth. Otherwise you'd need Siena 12-8 Canisius 11-9 St. Peter's 11-9 Give the team credit for fighting though and going 10-4 after the horrible 4-11 start if we didn't suck so bad the first half of the season we'd have a winning season for sure and we'd be knocking on the door for 20 wins and top 3 spot. Just dug too big of hole. And with the win tonight..guess who is 66-66 exactly .500 overall at Siena So-so Jimbo

Can someone please tell me what Marissa did to JP? He has been a real jerk to her the last two post game interviews.

It's curtains for Siena if they end up in the 4 seed and have to play canisius who already beat them twice. Siena just doesn't match up well with certain teams and the griffs are one of them. Plus assuming the caller was right that's a 9:30 game with the winner playing Monmouth (likely) the next day at 4:30.

I think we can beat Canisius because they don't defend...I'm actually more afraid of SPU they defend and can score at times.
From Daly dose of hoops Siena will be the #2 seed if they win the last two - SPU loses 1 game, Canisius loses 1 game and Iona loses to Monmouth. Toughest part of this is probably Siena beating Monmouth.

Siena up 6 at the half 41-35. Let's cover the spread and make HJ some money. I don't bet, but imagine having Siena -8 and two of the seniors (MW & JO) miss THREE 1-and-1's in the final :35!! Left 6 free points on the table. And of course the "gamer" Matt Scott hit a meaningless layup with :09 left to cover.
