Joe Girard will be visiting St. John's soon. Now listing interest from Louisville, Washington, and Notre Dame in addition to Michigan. Shortly after posting sienahoop.proboards.com/thread/3464/jimmy-ali-keep-eye-on?page=1many people were telling me Siena wouldn't have a chance to get him (that he'd go to a major program/conference like the kid from Guilderland). To bad, because I really would have liked to see him play for Siena (assuming he doesn't come here).

Here's a thought: Dave Wojcik (father of Jake Wojcik and current HC at SJSU) has a brother (Doug Wojcik) who is also in the coaching profession. Doug is currently a special assistant at Gonzaga but used to be head coach at Tulsa and Charleston. Doug's son Paxson is turning into a nice recruit in the 2019 class. He plays at one of the top prep programs in the country (La Lumiere) and has offers from DePaul, Columbia, and SJSU.
Maybe JP can start a Wojcik pipeline to Loudonville???

We officially offered Jake Cook of Shaker tonight. Had been told earlier that he was our top target for 2019 in the earlygoing. 6-9 kid who needs to add some strength but has the chance to be a high-major kid if he reaches his potential.

Jake and his grandpa, who was a great athlete himself, spent a lot of time at Siena games (in my seats) during Jake's childhood. I hope he can envision himself filling the TUC in the years ahead!

We'd be very lucky to get this kid. He has a very high ceiling. Our best thing going for us is he's very close with our walk-on, Ben Diamond.

Watched a ton of Jake’s games this year for Shaker. Hard worker and learning the footwork and stuff necessary to be an excellent post player. Also a very good passer for his size and has a developing jumper. Every person I talked to at Shaker said he was a great kid, most liked him as a player more than Sloan Seymour (put me in that category as well). Needs to add weight but the kid has high-major talent. If he stays in the area we have a chance, if he reclassifies to 2020 and heads to a prep school my guess is he winds up on a high-major track for sure. I know Jake has been in and out of the facility this summer and was at some of the pick-up games, so he at least has gotten a general feel for what we do as a program. Hopefully we can land the kid, upside is definitely there and was already a quite productive player this past season.

Pretty sure 6'4" G Tyler Bertram from Cooperstown, NY was on campus today. Hes got 6 solid offers right now, but location and p/t are giving the staff some hope with this kid. He's got a great stroke.

He's got a great stroke. I believe he took an unofficial to us for a game during this past season. Reclassified to 2019 and is headed to Vermont Academy for the next 2 years. A couple of offers from A10 teams in St. Bona and St. Joe's. Good to stay on him for awhile, who knows what happens in prep school (HUGE competition jump from Cooperstown HS).
