too early to worry about maac seeding. Saints have a favorable schedule with 4 of 6 at home and 4 of 6 versus the bottom of the MAAC. 12-8 looks entirely possible. Who'd of thunk it after a 1-3 start in MAAC play? Rather than worry about next year, I am going to enjoy rooting on a Senior class that has represented the school well during some fairly turbulent times. Who's worrying? Just looking at the possibility. I projected canisius, st petes and Siena with identical records of 12-8 for Siena/spc to meet in the quarters , which to me would be a good scenario. We don't match up well with canisius.

I know people don't like or want to consider - shoulda, woulda or coulda's but Siena's record this year (even with the injuries, health, suspensions and perceived lack of playing together) "could" have been overall 15-10, conference 11-3 (winning rather than losing close ones with GW, Bonna, RU, FGC, CC & NU and losing close wins against Bucknell & SPC at home).
If (and I know that's a big "If") Siena's record was 15-10, 11-3 going into these last 6 games and considering all the injuries, suspensions, lack of playing together, coupled with all the negative Jimmy traits (still recruiting poorly, coaching poorly, getting the exact same T's) every thing remained the same just we won or lost those close games, etc.; Would any of that changed anyone's opinion as to how the season' going?
I for one would be happier (but I'm not as unhappy as some either, just putting in perspective that I'd be happier). It also shows that we were that close to actually having that record, in spite of all the adversity that's happened this season.
I don't expect everyone would be happier if the record was better and the issues (perceived problems) remained, just curious what people would think.

Adversity is injury or circumstances out of one's control. Our issues have been brought about by choices made by coaches (game prep, subs, match ups) and players (suspensions, inability to get along).
I would be happier to see the kids overcome things and be more successful. But the record says what you are.

Ok, we're 1-1 so far for the next 5 (after Manhattan). 4-1 still possible but will take 3-2. Lets go Saints!!! Ok, 2-2 with that "I'll take 3-2" still a high probability. Then if we can go 4-1 or no worse than 3-2 the final 5; we should be in good position for the MAAC tourney. So we finished the second set of 5, 3-2; after going 4-1 the previous 5. Now all we have to do is finish another 4-1 or no worse than 3-2 and we could be in the top three. Let's Go Saints!!!

They will have only one more road game remaining the rest of the year. The glass will definitely finish past half filled. If they can win 7 more home games it will be completely full.

If Siena can win four out of five they'll finish the regular season with an overall winning record (which looked like no chance a month ago) and with a little help could get the #2 seed. Have to beat Manhattan, Niagara and Marist at home. Can Siena split with Monmouth?

Niagara figures to be the tougher of the two remaking home games. Saturday night hopefully good crowd need some games to break our way to get the 2 spot.

2 and 6 (.250) vs top 5 and 4 and 6 (.400) vs top half of the MAAC, yet again another abysmal showing.

When Jimmy came I knew he was so-so with X and o's. My biggest disappointment has been his recruiting. After bringing Lavon and Quis with him from Loyola- the only impact player he has recruited has been Nico ( and he has other "baggage") way to many low level recruits or role players. Recruiting alone is enough for Patsos to lose his job. He just isnt a good fit at Siena. Whether he is let go this year or next- his time at Siena needs to come to an end- the sooner the better for all concerned

Tony, this to me unfortunately was very predictable from the minute I knew he had the job which was before the tournament was over in Springfield in 2013. The history there of roster and staff turnover should have been a red flag as well as the eye test of his X and O abilities. I am very sorry for these kids that their legacy is four 1 k points and a .500 record.

Biggest difference is here in albany we dont have several high major recruits looking to come home. Without the transfers his lack of recruiting ability is glaring. In 13 years in MAAC he has recruited only 1st team all MAAC player out of high school, and less than 10 players that have avg 10 ppg over their career. He has flung so much B/S about recruits ( think Gottfried, Page, WB) I cant believe a word he says about recruits- and I have zero confidence in any of his recruits- most of who have either no other D1 offers or at best a few other low level offers. The surprising thing is how little effort he puts into recruiting. The disappointing season this year was cemented with his recruiting failures the last 3 years

Although EF's body of work suggests otherwise, isn't it too early to give up on Smithen and Richards. Kadeeem brings good D and defensive intensity, and seems competent at PG, while Richards can shot and was coming in before the ankle injury. Here's hoping that Nico stays and these two can be complimentary pieces.
