Sorry for my rant but need to get this off my chest.. This is by far one of the most disgusting and disappointing seasons I have ever seen out of Siena sports. This coach (If you would even call him that) is so fkin horrible I can't even comprehend how sick I am to have him at the helm of things around here. The players on this team have given up on this coach and program .. Won't be surprised to see a couple of kids leave to division 2 programs and maybe a couple to division one. Patsos needs to be fired immediately.. Quite honestly having watched the team play today I didn't see any evidence that the team has quit. I totally agree!

We have become experts in bringing out the best in our opponents and can't stop their outside hot hand. Far too many good looks. We can't shoot with confidence especially the 3 ball. It's not enough to work it inside which we can do. This may at best keep it close but it can't get us to the finish line consistently especially with stupid fouls. We lack the outside dagger shot (sorry Nico) which will likely plague us long term until it is fixed.

Observations from here. First off, left a foot of snow in Olean to almost no snow in Buffalo...saw two people playing golf in Delaware Park. Highlight of the day!!! Seriously though...thought the effort was there today, yet Griffs shoot 60% from the field in the first half. Defensive fundamentals not there...gotta move the feet. Saints feet just don't move quickly enough...hence foul trouble, a fatal error with little to no bench. Advice to JO...dunk the ball!!! You're 6'10"!!! Griffs took charges...quick feet got them into position...except late on Brett. Bad call. Two big guns foul out, yet we still get a chance when Johnson misses two free throws. If only for a shooter!! Thinking about defensive drills I did playing in high school. Hated them...but they worked. Same effort as today will produce some wins, but too little, too late, I'made afraid.

Two maac losses by a total of 5 points on the road. It's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Nico is 0-2 at game ending shots. Both shots today were good shots, just didn't fall. Nico 0-3 on the season for buzzer beater shots to tie/win IIRC.

Quite honestly having watched the team play today I didn't see any evidence that the team has quit. Did you watch Hofstra and UVM? They didn't quit today but they sure as hell quit in others. You could clearly read their body language. Did you read Wright's comments in the TU? Also telling. I keeping hoping for a turn around but it s looking pretty bad. I took today's effort as a step in the right direction. A program-saving, all-is-right-with-the-world direction? No, definitely not. But a step in the right direction. Players looked passionate, Canisius hit some difficult challenged 3's, Siena played well but Canisius won. I know pre-season this is a slam dunk win, but Canisius is playing well and their Freshman are contributing huge. They could be a top 4 MAAC team at this point.

Everybody looks like a top 4 team compared to Siena. I did like the effort not the result.

I don’t think there is that much “wrong” with this team- they overachieved last year bringing up expectations. We lost two solid role players that just happened to be our best two pct 3 point shooters. They gave us 45 solid min a game last year. With injuries and suspensions we got off to bad start. Add to that we are paper thin, we get almost nothing from Bench- every game same thing, no consistent outside shooting and no bench, Sorry this team just isn’t that good, fatally flawed, we have no shooters and only 5 players really. Other than Nico we are below avg athletically , add it all up and this team just isnt that good , almost no chance to even get back to 500 this year.
We can nitpick so-so saying he should do this or that, truth is the season was lost with shoddy /lazy/ bad recruiting the last 3 years. The only “starter” caliber player Jimmy has brought in, that we still have has been Nico. Most of the recruits have been low major type recruits that athletically just struggle to get it done vs athletic players

Well Iona and MU "kept pace" by losing to FF and SPU. Maybe Siena still has a chance if the top comes down a bit. The trouble is FF and SPU move up with their wins.

...can we at least be truthful about Kenny Wormley, he was a tad 12-29 from deep..........he hardly was an accurate overall shooter............and he was not always a good defender, while later in the year once Wright returned was not as reliable a ball handler either, perhaps he hit the freshman wall...........now saying all of that, for sure indeed he would have been a valuable piece on this team with his experience but what progression would he have realistically made under this current coaching staff? .......have the current players improved that much, I mean we see the same deficiencies in almost all of them.......very troubling......

I think Kenny Wormley would"ve made huge difference. Good size can and will defend and he"s solid pg. He's not stud but a guy that really helped others. Smithen hasn't lived up to the hype , so far.

He was a very good defender, had good size and speed. I'm not saying he was some sort of star. I'm saying he( along with Oliver) was a very solid role players. Between the 2 of them they gave us 45 min, 11 points were both a threat from 3. Who has replaced those min? Kenny was starting PG for a good chunk of season, didn't turn ball over and was one of better defenders on team - certainly better than any of his replacements. Say what you want, we have not replaced the minutes, defense or shooting of the two role players we lost. When Jimmy goes to bench there is a noticeable drop off. We basically have 5 players- Friday and Richards have potential, but are not ready to be playing- the rest are borderline or low level D1 players

Seems some still haven't seen enough. The evidence is there. Enough for a conviction in a court of law. Poor recruiting, poor coaching. In college basketball... That is terminal
