Ughhh just feel we're cursed....FTs cost us this game and the turnovers in the first half. Was a good effort - SBU is good but we let it get away again. Good to see Brett playing well. This loss hurts but the ones that kill a season are UA and Asheville. On to MAAC play. How are they cursed? Turnovers and missed free throws are signs of a bad, poorly coached team... not a cursed one. Need to stop with the better effort in the second half comments... they play two for a reason. This has been pathetic and if people are ok with 2-5 then you have the same loser mentality as this team. There were no positives to come out of this or the previous 6 games, Brett played how he should have been playing all season. Some of you guys are pathetic. Of course no one is happy with a 2-5 record, but this team played hard all game long tonight, on the road, against a pretty good, very athletic A-10 team that has maybe the best guard we'll see all year. I was sitting within arm's length of the bench, and there was absolutely no let down at any point. I'm anxious to see a replay of the game because some of the calls were mystifying. Old Dave says it was a home job. Not sure about that, but as I said, some mystifying calls. We actually took more free-throws than the opponent, but that doesn't always tell the story. Team missed too many FTs tonight, and that was likely the difference in the outcome. But maybe you can explain how missed free-throws are a sign of a poorly coached team. You must be right, though. Otherwise there is no reason to make such a clearly moronic comment. I agree with KK. Saw some good things tonight in a tough road against a good team. Looking for more of the same starting on Saturday.

JP obviously pissed at Richards and Smithen for letting the kid from UA light them up. Our bench is awful. I really wish Kinnon was still here. Worm too. I was thinking about KW today. I thought he played really well in Wrights absence last season. I think he was a bigger loss than most thought. Also agree we have a low mid major bench. Not sure how all this gets corrected. There is something really wrong with this team (and staff) and I'm starting to think there really is a chemistry issue. No discipline, no focus. It's becoming very apparent there are issues.

Otherwise there is no reason to make such a clearly moronic comment. I agree with KK. Saw some good things tonight in a tough road against a good team. Looking for more of the same starting on Saturday. Shooting free throws at 68.7% on the season isn't good, turning the ball over 13.4 times per game isn't good, 2-5 isn't good. Missing free throws, by the kids missing them tonight, is simply a lack of focus and doesn't look good for the coach. Blaming the refs when Siena shot more free throws seems like a stretch, Saints had just as many "mystifying" calls against them as the Bonnie's did. Fact of the matter is this was supposed to be "the" year. This wasn't a tough road game, they won the same road game 2 years ago with less talent and less senior leadership so why was this game so different? This year it looks like EVERY road game is going to be tough cause this isn't that good of a team right now. Good guards yes but this is a middle of the pack A10 Bonnie's team and Siena is a top 2 pick in the MAAC across the board. Enough with the excuses... tonight, GW, Asheville, and UA are all games that could have, and should have been won. You're kidding yourself if you're going to say this team played hard in the first half. The fact they even had a lead in the first half was a miracle, they got dominated. Please let me know where to mail your participation medal for attending tonight's game in person, and making sure we all knew about it.

Really, after you totally ripped the kid a new asshole publicly here as being lazy and unwilling to work at getting better. The new incoming stars were so ,much better than him, remember?

So-So Jimbo Patsos: "I'm not really worried about winning and losing right now."So-So Jimbo starting to sound like Mitch. Not good. #BaghdadBob This would have been fine in Jimmy's first year or maybe even his second year. In his 4th year with a senior laden team, this should get him canned. He realizes that winning is his job, right?!? I mean, isn't that the point of giving him $300K+ This just shows me he really doesn't understand where the bar is set out...or more concerning...that the administration has reset the bar.

Effort was better tonight- we said before season So-So Jimbo had to cut down turnovers, in fairness 2nd half was better, but still too many- missed foul shots was killer. This game was toss up entering season , but by losing to asheville and Albany ( who lost at home to holy cross tonight) margin of error was gone- but remember it's all about the MAAC these games dont matter..LOL Bottomline make the FTs and Siena wins despite all the other issues noted by others. It wouldn't have been a pretty win, but it would have been a W.

SBU fan here. I come in peace.
Just wanted to say how impressed I was with your squad, namely the seniors, last night. I can't imagine this team finishing any worse than 2nd or 3rd in the MAAC this season as long as the core 6 stay healthy. Bisping is a really nice player and I'd take him and Wright in our rotation in a heartbeat. I'll be glad to see those two graduate after you guys take care of business in the conference this year. Please crush Canisius and Niagara.
Finally, I'm glad the "Franciscan Cup" is becoming an actual thing that the fanbases are talking about. 10 years ago I figured it was nothing more than a gimmick. I'm glad the two departments can get on the same page with scheduling every year.
Good luck the rest of the way. Looking forward to this rivalry continuing in the future.

For some reason it seems like players are lost this year and in my eyes 50% of the time the effort is not there. Its clear i am not a huge fan of jimmy running the ship but a lot of these issues point to a lack of discipline and respect for people in charge. I still believe the team is very talented they are just not put in a position to win.

Nico is down in every category per 30 minutes this year but scoring. He's really turning into a one dimensional scorer and needs to start putting the effort in on rebounding and defense. These numbers should all be going up from freshman year to sophomore year, not down.
Rebounds per 30 - down from 3.6 to 1.4 Assists per 30 - down from 2.5 to 2.0 Steals per 30 - down from 1.8 to 1.4 Blocks per 30 - down from 0.66 to 0.57
