I have gone to a few games and UAlbany for a number of years. With the exception of the SEFCU lot, there was never a charge for parking. I went to one game last year and packed in the Dutch Quad lot, which is west of the area and beyond the tennis courts. I was charged $5 to park.
I just opened any email from Siena about the games today. In it tI was advised that parking in the Dutch Quad will be $10 today.
Shame on Mark Benson! I feel sorry for him if he thinks the extra $5 per car is worth the loss of goodwill it will engender. Even the folks who operate the garages near the TUC aren't that greedy.

This is their money game . . . Siena could have done the same but chose not to . . . but maybe next year game can be included in the Siena season ticket package while doubling the price of remaining seats . . . just kidding

I'm sure most people have paid more than $70 for parking and ticket to see a sporting event before. I don't see what the big deal is. Not having beer at sefcu will make it cheaper for some.

Albany has been charging parking for football all year and last of memory serves... #cryariver If nothing else, even of series ends... The level of crying of most of the entire Siena fan base has been worth every penny. Lol... Over $5 bucks... Hahaha... Lol. Hope you and the kids don't starve, this coming from a UA alum. Amazing... Griping over 5 bucks.

Looking forward to today's game to be over.... Then we don't have to hear the useless garbage from CC the rest of the year.... always trying to stir up trouble.

hopefully after today Siena fans stop going to ualbany games at the sefcu unless they are supporting the other team. It's us against them, as it should be in a real rivalry. Rip up your season tickets if you have them, they are not worth the paper they are printed on.

$10 for parking is one thing, charging $20 for handicapped parking was unbelievable. Double the charge for someone's misfortune. Unreal.

I had a kid drive 7 of us right up to the front door, and park the car, and pick us up at the same spot after the game. He was glad to do it for a free ticket So zero parking headaches, and the only thing that went right last night That, and a great dinner at Black & Blue earlier which turned out to be the highlight of the evening. Wondering how the other restaurants/bars on Western did before the game?

Of course it's true. That's what happened. It's an area near the PE Bldg. I was told by a friend that they were charged $20 for that handicapped lot during football season. And, no, I didn't take pictures.

If it was some sort of VIP lot for regular spaces and disabled spaces, it's not illegal, just sleazy. Otherwise, go for it. If I'm ever on campus again I'll look out for it and notify my contacts if appropriate.
