This 35 is for all SUNY centers... What is the percentage for UA specifically? Flagship gets 34%....the other 3 split up the last 1%

Thanks for the $$ I know a number of good Siena folks who will make a few other games. I will too. I already paid for them, so i cherry picked a couple others. Your home schedule might be worse than ours, and that's hard to do. (your fans should NEVER have to pay for a D-3 team in their season ticket package) You're not wrong... Sigh...

So if the state is only kicking in 10% or so, where's the other $300m annually coming from? Certainly not tuition and donations.

If the cheapest seat is $40+ that's the reason this game isn't sold out. I've had Siena tix for 25+ years and rarely miss a game but no way I'm paying $160 for my family to watch the game on bleachers. For the record I probably wouldn't pay that for the TUC either. That is ludicrous.

At this level, I agree. I can and have watched top 10 D-1 programs for less.

And there's a bunch of unidentified stuff on that pie chart listed as sources of income. I was wondering what all that is. Also, the nearly $70 million coming from taxes is nothing to sneeze at. One can only wonder what Siena could do with an infusion of free cash like that.

Click, I don't believe the report indicates that of the 15% in state funding, only 3% goes to athletics. Rather of UA total funding 15% comes from state taxes; and of UA's total expenditures 3% is attributed to athletics. There's no distinction between source of revenue and outgoing expenditures. Therefore it's possible that 100% of the athletics expenditures could be tax payer money or as little as 0%. The point some Siena fans are saying is it's more than Siena gets. "State" tax money is only one source of tax payer monies, there's federal funds rec'd (grants, capitol projects, etc.), revenue rec'd other than tuition most likely goes to state's general fund first then gets reappropriayed back to school the following year (state revenue is called taxes), etc.. The 16% revenue stream only identifies one specific tax source called State allocation, some of the other sources other than tuition & gifts could be particially tax payer funded. No matter, we all agree UA has access to taxpayer money to a level most likely higher than private colleges (as it should be) but I don't have enough info to determine how much it advantages them by.
