The smaller postseason tournaments are good for teams that need name recognition or have young players that need development! Siena can be proud of what they have done! Now is the time to relax and get heathy for next year!
Siena will be more athletic next year! And will win the MAAC!

I think Iona wins tonight, and Monmouth gets at large. Don't think so few bad losses. Lot of wins are vs bad RPI teams. Georgetown (100+) and UCLA (90+) wins looked a lot better earlier than they do now. We have a higher win with SB (27) than they do with ND (37) RPI wise. USC (45) was a good win but we had Hofstra (52). Our wins RPI wise were almost as competitive. What Monmouth does have are quiality road and neutral site wins. MAAC is ranked 20th. I just don't see Monmouth getting it... I'd like to see it for the MAAC but ... Typically the committee goes power power conference.

You're probably right, but after watching a chalk tournament I'm worried we are going to sink quickly to a low major as a league.

Question - Can players who sat out during the regular season play in these "exhibition" tournaments ?!

I vote for NIT, but wasn't an option. What "if" (and that's a hugh IF) Iona beats Monmouth and Monmouth happens to receive an at large bid, couldn't the ncaa committee give Siena (maac's 3rd seed) the NIT selection that would have gone to Monmouth? I realize that Siena's rpi is under 100 (or close to 100). I guess it's wishful thinking on my part, but I'd rather go to NIT even if it's the final seed/entry. The first half of my big "if" happened; now on Sunday it's time for my second wish (Siena gets to NIT). That frees up other maac teams going to CIT/CBI/Vegas.

Does the NIT have a version of a PIG (where two 8 seeds play each other before the winner gets to play one of the 2 #1 seeds)? That's where I'm thinking Suena gets in to NIT.

I seem to remember half or a third of the teams playing and the better seeds not playing until after some worse seeds played first (better seeds got winner of worst seeds). Haven't followed it in a while but remember something like that (i.e. NIT gets 40 teams but first 8 or 16 play to then get to the 32).
