Did he factor in that Siena is stuck practicing at Skidmore tomorrow and St Rose on Friday since the MAAC left them off the ARC practice schedule?

Skid early, get control and drive to the finish on Monday - seems like a plan to me. When all is said and done we'll be coming up Roses.

www.teamrankings.com/ncb/conference-tournaments/maac-bracket/This has Siena as the slight favorite over Monmouth. With Deon Jones I'd make Monmouth the favorite. Without him Monmouth comes back to the pack. Probably the co-favorites are Monmouth and Siena with Iona looming. My wildcard would be St. Peter's. I don't get the "love" for Manhattan. They are know where near the team that won the last two MAAC tournaments. Siena has beaten three top 100 teams at home (Hofstra, UA, St Bona) and beat Iona on the road. We are 12-2 at home with several dominating wins (14.3 margin of victory in 12 wins). But to go to the NCAA tournament we have to most likely beat the only two team who won this year at the TUC and beat Monmouth for the first time but now we have Wright back. But first up Marist/Manhattan without a win Saturday there is no Sunday or Monday obviously.

I'm not sure why everyone is glossing over Iona. They really dominated us at home...sure we came back but still. Our record against Iona in the MAAC tournament isn't great. Sure every year is different but AJ English is a guy that can/will carry his team. The ease with which he drained that dagger 3 a week or so ago was amazing.

Didn't expect a numbers geek like Ken Pom to have a sense of humor ... I was wrong.
Sick MAAC tournament stat going back to 1999. Even if you take away the years that Siena won the tournament, they still have a better winning percentage than 7 other MAAC teams.

But we are 4 and 6 (.400) vs the top of 6 of the MAAC and our 2 home loses have been to the 1st and 2nd place teams. If we have to face Man Iona & Mon that's a tough task, I'm hoping for the best. Home court is big help.

Iona & MU live & die by the 3, the more games they play the tougher it is to make them. I'll take Siena's front court and mid ranges jump shots over the two top 3 pt shooting teams that are playing their 2nd or 3rd games in a short period of time. Same goes for Marist/Manhattan it'll be their 2nd game sgainst a fresher Siena team. I like our chances.

Home court is big help. Keep in mind that Siena lost by 5 in triple overtime at Manhattan without MW (only third game without him), lost twice to Monmouth without MW (by 6 at home),while Monmouth had Sanders for both games, lost by 3 at Iona without MW and by 6 at home with MW. I'd say regular season results may not be indicative of the tournament. Your results may vary.
