1 game away from 20 wins. Jimmy is 5 career wins away from 200 (195-182) - would be nice to see him get in THIS year!

Old Dave right on PV. Siena needs to get its games on a station with more power than two hamsters on a rusty wheel .. Henry going to Fairfield

84-64 final -- I am happy to say I was wrong to be worried. I didn't see a lot it due to other commitments but what I saw looked like total domination. Wright was always on my screen too. It was a great win but in all honesty they could've looked sharper. Seriously, other than giving up far to many second chance points this was one of their best games of the year in the turnover column, a total of 9 for the entire game. If they can keep this up throughout the rest of the season/tournament they go home with the trophy! 48% Fg%, 52.4% 3 pt %, out rebounded Rider by 18. Held a team that should have beat Monmouth on their home court to only 64 points. I'll take these stats anytime!

MW looked great for lay off. Brett outstanding 18 boards. Only negative is second third fourth chances Rider got, not sure if it was hustle or what but the defensive rebounding needs to improve. point differtial in paint was not up to usual standards vs, throwing team. As far as 1300 app, ongoing problem, idiot PV couldn't manage his way out of a wet paper bag. Don't worry about defensive rebounding..reason why Donks got some offensive boards is we were really pressuring Rider's guards, so we were playing defense 20-25 feet from hoop.. Rider's guards can really shoot so it was good move by Jimmy. Wright played first two years as pass first PG-- I like a pass 1st point guard that can shoot if left open. 24 points 18 boards by Brett 17 and 9 by JO-- I'll take it.. Too bad those highlight reel dunk attempts by Nico and Lavon didn't go down. All the time Kenny and Nico played in Quis absence will really pay dividends down the stretch. Our top 8 is as good as anyone in MAAC right now .. now to get double dip..

He's good and he's on a roll but we really didn't put too much effort into stopping him. We gave up way too many high % shots but the 3 pt D (whether it's luck or not is always up for debate) came thru.

After getting outrebounded by 2 in the 1st game, the Saints outrebounded them 44 to 28 tonight which is much more like you'd hope we'd do.
18 offensive boards on a night we shot over 48%. I'd say that's pretty good.
But most of all....17 assists vs. just 9 TOs....
It was really easy out there tonight.

Thomas isn't going to beat you by himself, so I was okay with them letting him get his as long as they successfully shut down their perimeter game.

So here's a question, do we ever change our starting lineup ever again?
If it ain't broke right?
I mean it puts 2 of our best players on the bench but rests them for the end of game.
It has to be kind of demoralizing for teams to see Marquis Wright and Nico Clareth coming in off the bench to face their bench.
Plus, it keeps Oliver and Wormley more engaged...but especially Oliver who plays better running the point more.

When the MAAC tournament comes I want Wright starting. In an elimination one and done situation every minute is so important. Nico is fine coming off the bench though. Iona game is huge...we can't have a letdown they will be come up here upset over how we came back on them. Huge game and really takes the pressure off the last two if we beat the Gaels (assuming Monmouth beats them tonight in NJ)

He's better when he has to be a primary ballhandler. He looks for his shot more and it seems to get him going. And when he's hot for this team, you basically just start writing the 'W' cause it's all gravy.

Good question..I really liked our rotation tonight--really able to give Rider a lot of different looks. Gonna be tough to keep Wright out of starting line up as he gets into game shape.. but certainly food for thought

If you were to bring Wormley and Oliver off the bench...they may not be as effective as if they were starting.

By the way, Siena's offense just jumped from 120th to 83rd...that's how dominating they were on offense tonight.
That's a big jump for 1 game in late February.

Really liked Jimmy was able to slide Ryan down to 3 tonight to give Lavon a breather. Rider is tough at home and Siena made them look like a JV team

All in all nice win. MW has to get his sea legs back he's playing as a pass first guard that's not really his game. Nice to see him back on the floor though.... He's not a pass first guard? Not this year he took on a scorers mentality taking it the hoop and a much improved perimeter game. Not saying he doesn't look to pass he's just doing so much more that I wouldn't call him pass first guard. He was even logging quite a bit of time as a SG prior to his injury.
