Siena's thrashing of Vandy was more impressive then the OSU win IMO. siena earned a 9 seed and was expected to be "in" the game, regardless of where it was played. The Vandy game everyone had siena getting throttled. I hope someone getting drafted isn't a Top Moment. That isn't really a MAAC thing, more of an individual player thing. Rider did nothing with their 1st round pick, so as great as he was, what impact did he have to change or define the MAAC? Agree that Vandy was more impressive when comparing just those games but if you are comparing the NCAA tourney for those years the OSU/Louisville combo was more impressive than the Vandy/Villanova combo. Ahead of the overall 1 seed deep in the game when 90% of arena dressed in red and just come up a little short combined with 2 OT win gives Dayton the nod IMO.

Vandy was probably more impressive, but the OSU game was probably a little more exciting and memorable.

... and Louisville is only 150 miles down the road (2 1/2 hrs). The place was a sea of red that Sunday and we had our tiny little LOUD wedge almost in the corner. I think that is my personal most memorable game.

I wasn't there for that game but can appreciate what you are saying. Being in Tampa was pretty great too. The SEC/Vandy crowd were generally nice but many were quite condescending before the game. Then watching them come to the realization that Siena was a very good team that could beat them, then that they really might lose the game and finally to see how hallow they were after having it ripped away from them was pretty awesome.

I went to both games and found the Columbus Crew to be much ruder (especially days later) but the vandy fans were sore losers too.

Thompson & Simmons drafted by NBA, what about Tay Fisher a Globetrotter? Should that make the MAAC happy?

Onion baby a double or should be coming up. Every time Siena plays you almost always head it.

I don't mind losing out to the first two. Hard to argue Manhattan beng first school to receive an at large bid (although LaSalle would have had they not win maac tourney & rec'd a great seed (6th I think) earlier) or Marist Women being the first Basketball MAAC team to reach the sweet 16.

Do you think the next time the maac does one of these top "xx" number of highlights that the Suena Women will be mentioned for finishing (and winning) a maac tourney game with only 4 players?

No I don't. Maybe if they only had four dressed the whole game but not this scenario. Just MHO.
