Dunne will try to ugly it up like he always does. Expect a very physical game. We have way more talent- if we match their energy then we will walk away with a W.

Nice win. St Peter's can't shoot. I really wish we had the game back at the Dump Center. Welton's a man.
@ Marist on Super Bowl Sunday, noon, no free feed. You gotta pay the Car Fox!

Clareth and Wright playing together is going to be saucy.

Good win...SPU is a tough team to play against with their slow grind it out defense. Saints made some big shots and solid defense to pull away. Brett with 9 and 9 and how about that one handed dunk? Ryan hit some big shots after a tough game Monday night. Nico is a baller - defense is tremendous and makes some big shots. Lavon a solid game coming off the bench. Not JO's best game but Welton is a horse to go against. Good bench play too.
On to Marist... no letdowns have to come out strong in the road for 40 minutes- quick turnaround can't overlook ANYBODY.
Go Saints!!

Nice solid win.. good move by staff to move JO outside and drag Welton with him, that 3 JO hit forced him to come out.. that opened inside for Lavon and Brett

Peacocks- 5 ft and in- 95%; 8 ft and out-5% . Pack in a zone and make them earn it. I said it previously- we have way more talent and tonight the talent prevailed. Good job boys- go take care of business on Sunday.

My Random Thoughts:
Chevy Silverado: No, MRT (TM) is not being bought out with advertising, but this Saints performance was definitely "Like A Rock...". They played tough, something that was obviously lacking in the away St. Pete's game.
Swag On, My Friend: Nico Clareth had the full display on tonight. Some silky drives to the hoop...some nice passes....some instinctual blocks...he's clearly going to be on the All-Rookie team, and the only thing stopping him from getting ROY is PT and usage. Don't worry Nico, those things dissipate, and not to overestimate, he's destined to be a 1st team MAAC guy and potential MAAC POY in due time.
Welcome Back, Rolly Show - After what amounted to a very disappointing performance against Monmouth, Ryan Oliver goes 3-3 from deep and 4-8 overall. Glad to see him rebound (not literally) so well from last game, although typically a player of his caliber goes a LITTLE better than 1-5 from inside the arc. With that said, nice oop to Bisping for the left handed flush.
Fran Stat Of The Day: We made more FTs than they attempted. Could be a home court stat, but hey I'll take it. (FWIW, we shot better from 3 than St. Pete's did from the field, too. That was big).
I Missed The Bus, Ohhhh - Some of you probably don't know the Kris Kross classic "I Missed The Bus" jam, but hopefully Lavon Long knows it by now :-) We all thought he'd make an ideal 6th man...(no shade, with starters' minutes).
Iona Good Home Record So Far - Hey, Siena's playing really well at home, and even despite the Monmouth loss earlier this week, I'm confident in this team's abilities. Still, we've yet to play Iona, and I'm eagerly awaiting both those home and away match-ups before I declare what many others feel is an inevitable Monmouth-Siena championship game collision course. Iona's obviously lacking some fire power without last year's POY Laury and sorely missing Chadric Casmiri in the back court, but they're still proving to be a pesky, high scoring team at this level, and it's foolish to write them off as an after thought.
Fresh, Man - I like not only Siena's Freshman class, but the MAAC's in particular. A lot of schools had a lot of PT to offer, but I feel like this is overall a solid crop of guys who will grow to battle one another for accolades and victories alike. Let them battle, I say. Let them battle.

It would be a battle if Siena meets Iona in the semis for sure. It could be spc in quarters, Iona semis Monmouth championship, Iowa ncaas. Peacocks, Gaels Hawks, Hawkeyes (Iona always the oddball).

Go Saints!! Apparently I got some espnu air time after the dunk. A few people texted me saying they say me jumping up and down after the dunk. Too bad I didn't record the game. Anyone see a goofy guy in a Marquis Wright Uni celebrating after Brett's dunk?

Some added incentive--- saints can guarantee a better than last place finish if they win on Sunday.

Some added incentive--- saints can guarantee a better than last place finish if they win on Sunday. A 3-4 finish should comfortably clinch 3rd place. 2nd place would be huge in the new format. For that, we have to really earn it vs. Iona.

Clareth and Wright playing together is going to be saucy. It will, but it will be interesting who gets the start. Supposedly Marquis may play as early as next weekend (hope they don't rush him). And I assume/hope he does not start or log many mins in first couple games back. But I trust Jimmy and medical staff to do what is best for him. When he does come back in a starting role, it will certainly be interesting as to who starts with him (Oliver, Wormley or Nico). My take is that Nico will still be first off the bench.
