We are definitely the underdog in the UA game. To-date they are a WAY better team. I think by March that could be different but if I had to bet on a team (not root for, but place money on...) it would be UA.

He was jawing at Oliver quite a bit I wonder why? He's really "bringing it" his senior year so far huh? lol . Only stated to bring up that the sideline antics are still there on occasion. Now if by 180 you mean that coach no longer teaches with his back to the court during game play I will give you that one--- for the most part.

Siena actually quicker than they are, and candidly exception of Kentucky their schedule weaker than Siena. Comes down to game coaching, big game for UA and if Siena can play D on the 3's, they do that good chance.

Oliver is going for 6 and 4, not bad for the 6th option on the team. He's made a big play, be it a rebound, put back or 3 in all 4 of the wins. No, he isn't playing great yet but he's filling his role. Oliver is one of the only guys on the team with a positive assist ratio, he's rebounding, and his overall shooting percentage is fine. And he's been in a shooting slump since the season started. The kid is not a star but he's generally doing his job. He's scored 5 or 7 pts in every single game so far. Once the 3's start falling again, those will turn into 8 & 10 pt games. He made 1 bad pass. The rest of the team has made a ton of them. Oliver is generally filling his role. He made a HORRIBLE pass at Duke for an Ingram dunk. He's just way to inconsistent for a senior. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a 22 y.o., but he really needs to step up and lead.

I saw Brown undress Hooley the other night on the sidelines, so what? It's part of coaching. Debate over. You hate, you win.

Long - 16/19 A/TO Bisping - 9/16 JO - 5/11 Clareth - 3/10 Silas - 2/8 Wormley - 2/5 When you put Oliver's 9/6 up against that crew, he looks like an all-American PG.

In Oliver's case he bared him the full Monty multiple times over the course of about 5 minutes-- sorry it doesn't fit your claim of a more angelic patsos this season. Heck he even took a fan to task for causing a missed free throw (hell I wanted to too). As I said before win the games and it is a non-issue. He's obviously doing something right of late 4 wins in a row is no joke.

Personally I think he is pressing a tad, he hears the footsteps of Nico Oliver is the same guy he's always been. It's just less made 3s. I'm not really worried about him. I'm worried about all these turnovers. 2nd worst assist ratio in the MAAC right now to only Niagara...and they're turning it over 1.5 times less per game.

Hey it’s not like Jimmy doesn’t ever do anything good. I don’t think he has been accused of being “stinky” Jimmy. His moniker is So-so Jimbo, mediocre Jimmy- we all hope he can turn that into as one wise poster said go-go Jimmy. I think most Siena fans are from Missouri when it comes to Jimmy—"show me". He is not going to B/S Siena fans and get through like he could at Loyola. This is big year for Jimmy and Siena .. as they say—so far so good Quite honestly I think it will take multiple "good" years to win over many here. This is a tough crowd, the bar is high and consistent excellence is the standard. To achieve that consistency it helps to have coaching continuity which is very hard to achieve in the MAAC where win and move on is the norm. Barring long term coaching tenure it is imperative that the right guy is chosen as the next guy. Siena hasn't consistently chosen wisely. I think Patsos will get it done, but only time will tell. I like the direction so far. the only thing to say regarding this is that Siena should NEVER.... EVER.... fall to being one of the worst teams in D1 basketball. A "down"/"rebuilding" year should be mid pack MAAC at worst. MAYBE approaching .500. THAT is as bad as it should ever get. What we have witnessed a couple of times now... is understandably UNACCEPTABLE.

Oliver is slow afoot to be playing the two and a tad undersized to be playing the three (having some bad knees doesnt help). He is a capable contributor if utilized properly. Spot up shooting to help spread the floor. Capable of defending in the zone. Man on man, open floor, creating off the dribble... these things are not really his forte and the more Siena wants to push the pace... the less you will see of Oliver. Good kid and certainly puts his heart and soul into the game.... however... "wanting it" doesnt always translate... especially at the D1 level.

If he hits one or two of the T's we lose in regulation...

If he hits one or two of the T's we lose in regulation... Yeah and you can only say that about every single play in the whole game. No way of knowing how the game changes if any one thing happens differently.

We got every call after that happened. Kids all stepped up too. Small instance, but shows the character of the team, and the head coach, have changed dramatically since last year. It's the little things that win OT games, and start deep comebacks. I'm convinced that's what he was trying to do the previous 3 seasons but we simply didn't get the same outcome of a win in many of those cases. That's why I wasn't as upset about all those T's.
