Wow what unbridled optimism from the board's guru on down ! If we win it won't be due to our team's coaches or players it will be because the Bison lost their great coach. Where are the Siena fanatics ( full term for fans) ?

NCAA rankings today has Monmouth at 31....Iona at 55....Siena at 77 I have no idea what they base it on and I know early season rankings don't mean much but it is nice to at least not be in the 300's.

Once we get deeper into the schedule and play weaker opponents regardless if we win that rpi will drop.

If we continue to win it won't drop much if at all. RPI Forecast currently has Siena projected to go 18-13. Here's what the projected RPI is based on final record: 22-9 71.5 21-10 84.7 20-11 99.8 19-12 116.7 18-13 133.6 17-14 151.9 16-15 170.2 15-16 189.2 Obviously a ton can change but RPIForecast simulates the whole season so tends to have the least volatility. Bad news is even 20-11 only gets Siena at best a 15 seed.

If we continue to win it won't drop much if at all. How do you figure that, there are many teams with higher sos then us, if they win we go down. I'm no expert for sure, but our wins don't count as much as another schools win with a higher sos

I'm no expert for sure, but our wins don't count as much as another schools win with a higher sos . The key is we have to win. If you look at the chart Scott posted the more wins we have the better the rip, even though the overall schedule is weak. At 9 losses the rip would be right where it is now. It is an important distinction because it means every game matters, not just three games in March. 9 or 10 losses could mean the difference between a 13 or a 14 seed or even a 12 seed should we get that far

I am the eternal optimist, but even I think it's hilarious that people are discussing tournament seeding scenarios already.
Not trying to be a killjoy. Have at it. I'm just looking forward to the next game.
