The first 2 games don't matter. You might as well test out Clareth and Wormley and get them experience. They are games we are supposed to lose anyway. Why wait until game 3 to decide if they can be played or not? They'll matter a whole lot if we can steal a win! I can dream right?

I don't claim to be a Jimmy expert, but it seems to me that he'd prefer to not have to play Fr unless he has too or there that great. If Nico starts at the beginning of the season he must be great then because Jimmy has other options of more experienced players. I'm not saying those players are better or more talented than Nico, but they're more experienced.
Nico may play starter mins the first two games but I still don't see him starting. I've been wrong many times so it won't surprise me if Nico starts (I just don't think he will the first two games).

On the practice video on the twitter the first team is Wright, Clareth, Long, Bisping, Silas twitter.com/SienaMBBPerhaps I'm wrong as to where they are at now. That's certainly a physical lineup. Just not as quick and could be vulnerable to a zone. JO wasn't really prominent in the video. Perhaps they're assuming he's not playing.

I think starting with Duke and Wisconsin is actually more reason to start Wright, Oliver, Long, Bisping, Silas/JO. No need to throw the freshman into the fire. Obviously, I would love if Nico is so good he has to start over Oliver but for the first two games it might be worth having him come off the bench and ease into superstardom.

Superstardom or bust.

I'd go Silas, JO, Jimmy Merrill, Willem, and Bisping - they can help hang the banner before tip-off.

PG - Kenny SG - Brett SF - William PF - JO C - Imoh That's about as tall as we can get with a true PG, no offense to Jimmy. Otherwise the way you had it, Brett would probably play the point.

IMHO program will not get better unless you bring in at least one starter every year and others who can push the hell out of the returning players.

Ryan is too slow with the trigger. Big-time schools shut down slower guys pretty quick. I'd get Nico in there.

As the lone gunner on the grassy knoll, Ryan Oliver will see a lot of playing time this year.

all good points. If there's one thing I think we will see with Ryan this year is more of a "shooters" mentality. (gunner) If there is one big thing he probably worked on this summer is getting his shot off quicker. Part of his problem in the past was also mentally. His reluctance to pull the trigger was there a lot. I think he is going to have a lot more confidence this year as a senior given his experience and understanding his role on this team. With Rob and Evan gone he knows that the team is looking to him to help open up the inside with his outside shooting.
