Siena upsetting Stanford in its first ever NCAA appearance, Greensboro. NC.. Especially after overcoming the measles and going most of the season w/o a name (Indians to Saints). May not be first, but in top Ten at least. Edited: Mark Brown had 32 pts that game but I think it was the other Brown that scored Siena's first bucket (Mike).

I'd throw in the NIT Final Four Appearance. The most memorable game of that NIT was the first-round win against Georgia Tech. If my memory serves me correctly, Georgia Tech whined terribly about being snubbed for the NCAA tournament even though they didn't finish .500 in conference play.

Agree with thos games. I'd add for consideration: When the Indians beat the Reggie Lewis led NE Huskies at the ARC, the NIT game at the Glens Falls Civic Center (that place was ROCKIN) and Lars Rifrack(sp?) game (anyone remember - he was a part time sports guy for one of the local stations and was on court at half time of the game with the Saints down like 21; he said something about the Saints coming back for the win to some polite applause and chuckling yet about and hour later due to some gritty team play and Scott Knapp shooting heroics Lars was proven right about the comeback win)

Without a doubt, best game I ever saw in person.

Bennerman getting NIT MVP (Siena was third place winner, normally MVP came from winner or 2nd place team). He held or still holds the NIT scoring record 174 pts (and 51 against Kansas State). I still say Siena beats Villanova if it weren't for playing 5 against 3 most of the game (Bidlingmyer & Stuart Downing injuries). We still almost won anyway. What a trip!!!

There's been many games played at the arena that were loud. Hopefully we can get back to loud home court advantage.

Obviously the popular ones but then these few were good ones that stick in my mind.
Mount St. Mary's OT - 1/2/2010
Saints were down 7 with 1:13 left to a bad MSM team, and won in OT. Moore has all 9 of the teams' assists.
Marist OT - 1/15/2009
Saints down 7 with 1:05 to play. Young Kyle Downey brings us back.
MB2 Siena vs. Manhattan Quarterfinal
6 guys, 1 mission, 3 career games (at the time)

6'6" Monte Henderson blocking the first two ( or three) shots by 7'4" NBA bound Rik Smits of Marist. Forgot the year.
