We've got to do this right. I am not in favor of anybody 'leaving'. JO made a mistake himself. Honest and small, esp considering his situation but a mistake nonetheless. Nobody else should have to pay for that. I want JO on this team in the worst way this year, but I want to do it right and it wouldn't be the worst thing if he couldn't play till next year. Hopefully, there are ways to make it happen.
Are these all the issues:
1. Eligibility - Based on bison's (?) research about returning to your orig school, I would think he has a good shot.
2. Scholarship - Seems like the biggest obstacle.
3. If no scholarship, but gets non scholly aid or loans, would he be considered a walk-on and is there any issue with the limit of 13?
Either way, I certainly hope he attends school at Siena thsi year., According to Jimmy sounds like he will.

The fact that JO can flip flop like he has, and the fact that JP and Siena can fudge JO back on the team cries out to the scandal in college basketball today.
Point in fact -has anyone heard anything new about the NC no show African studies classes? Of couse not. Div I college basketball is mostly about money-just like most other things in American culture and politics.

I have to think the NCAA would have a major problem with a player who has been on scholarship for 2 years suddenly being a walk on.

No thanks. Decent D2 kid but I wouldn't waste a ship on him .... I'll take JO in a heart beat. Best big in the MAAC. It’s about winning. When Mitch was here, I said the only way Mitch keeps his job is if he finds a proven transfer scorer. He didn’t and he lost his job. Jimmy is in the same boat. Jimmy took Cole instead of Dobbs and we know how that ended. He just selected the wrong player. He needs to win and Javion is not a major game changer. Dobbs is. It’s not wasting a slip on Dobbs. The kids a game changer in any division. You gotta be related, the kid isn't that good. Game changer ... lol.

At least 2 guys at Louisville. Doug McDermott. Many others.

That's exactly what he said. No. What he said was that the NCAA wouldn't allow it. Seems pretty clear to me. This is what you responded to. [Yeah sorry, meant to say 'walking on' while still receiving considerable financial aid. The only thing he said about the NCAA was that he questioned if they would allow a player to be a walk-on after 2 years on scholarship.

Someone coming in and receiving aid as a regular student before joining the team is very different from someone who has been on an athletic scholarship for two years suddenly receiving an academic scholarship that's close to a full ride instead. If you don't think the NCAA would view that as a violation you don't know much about the NCAA.

Actually I responded to 2 of his comments and gave several recent examples that prove he is wrong.

And if you think that doesn't happen, you don't know the NCAA.
