And if you really are into karma, those of you going to the Duke game can hop off I40 at exit 240 to stay at the Siena Hotel...I kid you not. Just passed it today while on my way to RDU to catch my flight home. That's like the time in Tampa when it was the first time I had Siena wine. I think Dave still has the empty bottle as a souvenir. Went back after the Vandy game but I guess we used up all that magic because we couldn't get past #12 seed Villa.

Prairie View A & M....they look awful.
Lose 4 of top 5 players from a team ranked 303rd in Kenpom. 12 of their 15 wins last year came vs teams ranked 316th or higher.
Run out the sweeps. Make ready the cannons.

Just curious...anybody know if the school will have extra tickets or those lucky enough to be offered them, would you be willing to part with them for the right "compensation" . I would take them in a heartbeat . I'm not an alum(not smart enough to attend) or season ticket holder(don't live in the area now) but been a huge fan since the late 80's(high school) and want to make a trip with some family to the game. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would love to add Cameron Indoor to the long list of places over the years I have seen this team play.

When it comes to NCAA tourney games only, not Cameron, I've found tickets at Tampa (that venue not sold out) and Dayton (sold out but some teams returned tickets for the public to purchase). I was lucky enough to have tix for Siena's session but was able to get tix for other sessions (directly from venues box offices). Finally, scalpers always have extra tix.

It's risky but I was able to buy, at face value, a ticket to a Duke-Georgia Tech game about an hour before game time standing outside Cameron - I was down with the team for our game with UNCG and headed to Cameron in the am. Risky trip but I will bet you can land a seat. I got railing right behind the Duke bench and only paid the face value of the seat - guy had four to sell but was willing to sell me only one - I would have paid much more!

Normally getting a ticket for a Duke opener, against a mid-major, would be easy as hell (I've done it), BUT with the NC Banner coming down, it might be a tough ticket. Cameron only holds 9K+.

Mission accomplished for Jimmy and D'Arg - their real mission that is. Which of course is to take all real pressure off themselves with such a low bar. For a program in Siena's position right now the Duke & Wisconsin games are stupid but ok going for marque match-ups to get the name back out there I get it. The real program killer in my mind is that all you guys are now discussing going 500 against the non-con slate as if that is acceptable....
Outside of our 2 guard this is a veteran team with a lot of minutes in Jimmy's system under their belts.
I am not buying the 5 year plan or any of the other BS that's been shoveled our way. I know what the program is capable of accomplishing. Therefore, anything worse than 7-4 is a failure for the program.

I would assume there will be tickets available on the secondary markets like stubhub, ticketmaster etc.
Am I correct or does the ncaa crack down on these resales?

Anything worse than a split with Duke and Wisconsin, fire the son of a bitch.

So you would not sign for 6-5 OOC and 13-7 MAAC (19-12 overall) going into the MAAC tournament? If Siena does that and wins the tournament I bet their RPI is pretty good. Duke/Wisconsin games will get the team stronger. The games in Rhode Island I will grant you are not ideal. Just win them.

Oh, ye of little faith. Siena will start the season off 2-0 and most likely be ranked in the Top 25. Siena could be the first team to beat the prior years NCAA Champ & Runner up (in that order). That'll be something for the record books.

Nov. 28 vs. Loyola, Noon Dec. 9 vs. Hofstra, 7pm Dec. 12 vs. UAlbany, 7:30pm Dec. 22 vs. St. Bonaventure, 7pm
--------------------------------------
I'm not a fan of the home non-conference schedule as a current student. Two of our 4 home games occur during breaks (Nov 28/Dec 22).

From a competitive standpoint most of those games are good, but the only unique game there that fans haven't seen too recently is Hofstra. One can only hope that there is an ejection or two for that one. It would be cool if Patsos got his second tech and Michelle chased the ref out with a skillet in hand.

Other than Duke and WI which teams should the Siena program expect to lose to? Remember this is NOT a rebuilding year and nobody else is a top 25 team so why would we ever sign up in advance for 3 loses to those teams? G%(^%(%(&$%$(&^%$ some of you people really are sheep. Love the school and program, always have always will. Remember being honest, objective and offering tough love is still love.

Love the school and program, always have always will. Remember being honest, objective and offering tough love is still love. I want to win every game too. I'm just trying to have realistic expectations (insert joke). This team doesn't have the talent of the teams from 2007-2010 where you would expect to go 9-2 or 10-1. I hope this freshmen class is big time and Jimmy keeps upping the talent to get back to that point and quickly. I would agree this is NOT a rebuilding year we should contend for the MAAC title (at least top 4). Duke/Wisconsin are the big names but the schedule is pretty good outside of those two programs. Hofstra, St. Bonaventure, UAlbany, Vermont, Bucknell are good teams - we should hold our own hopefully against them. Those 5 opponents will determine how well we do in the OOC. We need to go 2-0 in Rhode Island, beat Loyola and beat Cornell. Assuming we lose the first two BCS games that's 4-2 before factoring in those 5 teams (3 at home, 2 away).
