The first game was fun to watch. I bailed shortly after the start of the second game.
Ubiles played in the first game. Sure do miss his game, he pretty much did what he wanted to. Had a stretch where he hit a 3 on one end went to the other end and blocked 2 shots. Nice dunk at one point too. Funny thing, his team was short a player so they had to play 5 on 4 for a while. Taran Buie showed late.
Cremo played in the second game. Didn't see much of that game. I think he'll do well in AE. Long arms and was in control even when under pressure driving to the hoop.
Overall play wasn't great last night but was cool to bring the kids and watch some hoops.

Only two games Ed Ubiles team which played most of first half with only 4 players easily beat their opponents. Eddie just glides around the court and can score at will against this competition. Second game in first half looked to be a blowout .Joe Cremo and some St Rose players> Cremo looks good. First time I ever saw hi in person.. Should be some good games on Monday.

Brett is playing great. Nice outside shot and a great hook shot. He plays both end of the court. Which you can’t say for everyone. The older Hurter was the better one tonight, he played great. They won easily The second game Edwin’s team was down most of the game, they played with 5 guys. They came back in the second half to win by around 4. They tried to rough up Edwin, which he handled very well. It was getting pretty rough, many fouls and a technical was called on one player for roughing up Edwin. One player by the name of Cameron Dobbs was one reason they won. The kid is one of the better 3 point shooters in the league. I would say the order is 1) Gallup, 2) Manny Hernandez, from Shen plays pro ball in Mexico. 3) Cameron Dobbs, from Guilderland, went to Mississippi Valley State for two years and transferred to American International, Div. 2 last year. Is a senior this coming year. He works at the Siena camp this summer. His mother sat in front of us during an earlier game and I overheard her say something like “Jimmy did talk to him when he was transferring” I didn’t hear the rest of her statement. Maybe MrSiena can tell the end of the story? This kid would have been what Siena needed a 3 point shooter. [/p]
Bisping is playing at 7 tonight.

Doew anyone know if the Siena players have any more games in this league? I can't find an up to date schedule on the league website.

Team Bye reminds me of my 2 older boys 3v3 soccer teams: "the other guys" & "tbd" heard some funny conversations as folks tried to figure out who they were playing. :-)

Team Jerome (Bisping & Kenny) played Team Bye tonight. No Bisping and Kenny was visibly frustrated with the amount of 3s the other team made. Kenny's team was coached by Tom Huerter Sr, who was quite annoyed at the calls one of the ref made and was very vocal about it. At the half Kenny's team was down by 20, then 28, and ended up losing 84-63.
Neither Long or Oliver played at 8.

Long injured his back in his last game. PPC said he is out until further notice! I hope he's not injured bad, we could use a healthy Lavon this season. Hopefully they're just keeping him out as a precaution.

Today’s game Team Jerome were up by 2 with seconds left and Kenny holds onto the ball waiting for the foul. He goes to the line, and with his new foul shot form, he misses it. When he was at Siena, his routine was catching the ball; he never bounced it, took a deep breath and made the foul shot. At Siena he was 350/470 for 75%. During this summer he’s lucky if he’s at 50%. He catches the ball, takes a large side step to his left and returns his left leg way in the back of his body. His body is not balanced. He does everything a foul shooter should not do. Just my opinion. Back to the game, Team O’Keefe catches the miss foul shot and calls a time out. But they don’t have any…….so who goes to the foul line? No it wasn’t Kenny…..it was the younger Huerter and he sank both foul shots to win the game by 4. Lavon played good for Team O'Keefe, but if you're not a guard in this league, you very seldom get the ball. First one over half court takes the shot. Standings #1 - Team Bye 6-1 (Cremo) #2 - Team Jerome 6-1 (Brett, Kenny, Huerters) #3 - 4th Family 4-3 (Edwin, Dobbs) #4 - Team Sellers 4-3 #5 - Team O'Keefe 3-4 (Lavon, Ryan) #6 - Not Even Famous Playoffs Aug. 6 at 7pm Not Even Famous vs. 4th Family 8pm Team O'Keefe vs. Team Seller Team #1 & 2 receive a bye Aug 10th #1 vs winner of (Team Famous vs. 4th Family) #2 vs. winner of (Team O’Keefe vs Team Seller) Aug 13 Final at 8pm
