Brett played well and either he or former UA player Will Harris was the leading scorer of the team coached by Tom Huerter Sr. That team hung on to beat the team that Ryan Oliver was on. .Ryan had a lot of points. I thought Kevin Huerter passed very well . Some of his attempted moves were stopped by stronger older players. Some players on Oliver's team looked like they were 20 years past college. Marquis was listed on a roster I saw as being on the Huerter team but was not there. Edwin Ubiles was on the roster for one of the teams in the second game but was not present. Eight teams in league .only six can play on a given night. Sitting at the end of court was only way to see small scoreboard and game clock at scorer's table. No PA system. HVCC court partitioned off with two or three girls (AAU?) games going on at same time as college league . Heard a rumor that Kenny Hasbrouck might be coming to the Huerter team. . I would most likely go back to see him. Seems strange to see a league including a high school player, current college players, former college players and pro players. Hopefully the league can get to use the entire court on some nights. I seem to remember past "college Summer leagues" in the area which folded before finishing a full schedule. I think if the organizer can get full rosters with numbers and a full schedule on his website it would help the league to make it.

Marquis is going home for a break so I don't think he is going to play in the league.

I heard Lavon played good last night. Hit some Jump shots, a 3, had assists, dunk, etc.. We need the Lavon who played in the MAAC tournament last year for the entire season. He was brilliant I don't know if it was just him getting healthier or having a better focus but he played very well in the tournament (albeit a small sample of two games). He shot 65% from the field - averaged 14 and 5. Too many games last year he just disappeared I'm hoping that was because he just wasn't healthy. While I don't expect him to shoot 65% from the field 14 and 5 is what we need from him in 2015-16 to contend for a MAAC title. I hope he's working hard on that right hand because he will be almost unguardable in the MAAC if he develops it.

Lavon just needs to learn to play under control on both sides of the ball instead of just throwing his body around.

Boy or boy what a game tonight. Team 4th Family with Eddy against Team Jerome with Kenny and Brett. Eddy put a hurting on Kenny. Eddy’s moves are unbelievable; why he’s not in the NBA I don’t understand. Kenny had a bad night shooting, he was on the line down by 2 taking three shots and he missed all three. But Kenny did hit a 3 late in the game and Team Jerome won. Eddy was not a happy camper. Ronald Moore was there, as was Silas and OD.... I can’t wait for this coming season, Brett is playing great. He has a turnaround fading hook shot that is unstoppable, (I think that’s how you would describe it) and he's hitting his 3’s. Lavon is playing well, in tonight’s earlier game he got hit with an elbow and came out of the game with a bloody nose and a sore back. He had around 8 to 10 points

I 2nd Go Siena's report as I sat with him. It was a true pleasure to watch Kenny and Eddie go at each other. Eddie's moves were truly in the mode of breaking the defenders ankles. As stated Kenny struggled the 1st half and well into the 2nd half but he was ACES late in the game hitting 3's and taking the ball to the hoop. And Brett is playing extremely well on both sides of the ball. Eddie's next game is Thurs. at 7 p.m., then the following Thurs. against Ryan Oliver and Lavonn's team. Kenny, Brett, and the Huerter boys play next Monday at 8 p.m.. I strongly urge you get out to see good basketball.

Good to hear Brett balling. We missed him more than anyone could imagine last year. He is the ultimate "glue guy" and a terrific offensive scorer. When Brett Bisping is Brett Bisping he's a better version of Josh Duell. I'm betting he's all-MAAC this year. He was the best player during the CBI run.
