I though Rissiter could make the NBA, or still can. Just hoping it's sooner rather than later. Just seems the longer you play overseas the less likely it is to get into the NBA (unless you're a superstar over there).
But, hey as long as they're making good money to do what they enjoy doing, it's better than one of our jobs if you don't love it as much.
I have low expectations for my job. As long as I don't dislike it, I'm content.

As long as I don't dislike it, I'm content. He's like 2 inches too short. I saw him play a couple times when he was in the D-League. He was too small to guard the big men, so he developed a jump shot and tried to become a 3, but he was way too slow for that. His senior year I thought he had a shot, but seeing him consistently matched up against 6'11 and 7 foot guys and you see him overmatched. That said he's killing it in Japan and he seems to love it based on his interviews. If he's making good money there I would stick to that for awhile.

O.D. may have a shot. His game reminds me a bit of Tristan Thompson.

OD is an elite rebounder for sure and a decent post scorer. And he has great toughness and athleticism. The problem: He doesn't do anything else. He can't shoot jumpers or make FTs. He's not a good passer. He doesn't blocks shots and isn't a great defender. He has the offensive game of a center but doesn't defend the position well and is too small for it. He's like a miniature Dwight Howard without the defense. According to this, he's only got 18 blocks in 2 years in Europe and tons of turnovers...which mimics his college days. www.basketball-reference.com/euro/players/od-anosike-1.htmlHe'll get the accolades for the rebounding prowess but his teams won't be very successful with him as a major contributor...unless he's matched with a defensive center who can also shoot.

I don't see either Od or ryro in the pros. They were hardly high impact players on our teams to produce a winning team. If ubiles, Franklin and hasbrook can't make it, I wouldn't hold my breath for Od or ryro. Good kids I'm not arguing that and obviously I'm judging them from when I last saw them - so fwiw.

I will say that Ryro improved every year at Siena and if he continued on that trajectory after he left than who knows where he could land.
