The release about the series: www.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/062315aab.htmlI can't make sense out of the third year. Will Siena/Albany each play at a major opponent that really has absolutely nothing to do with the tournament but pretend it does and then have a couple mid-majors come to the TUC where one of the games will be Siena vs. Albany?

That's what it sounds like similar to the tournament this year only the two games in the "subregional" will be at the TUC. Siena-UAlbany in one "semifinal" and two mid-majors in the other game with the winners and losers playing the next day. Two weeks before (or after) Siena and UAlbany will play BCS opponents on the road with a payday I assume and hopefully TV for Siena. Mark Singelais @marksingelais 25m25 minutes ago
The Siena-UAlbany game in 2017-18 will be part of a multiteam tournament. @sienaad said the schools are talking to the Gotham Classic.www.gazellegroup.com/events/gotham/schedule.htm

Sounds like the third year is exactly the sort of tournament we are in this year except that Siena will be the host for the low majors rather than Bryant.

@marksingelais: Siena will get 600 tickets for the game at SEFCU Arena in 2016-17. I don't think ticket arrangement will change much for year 1.

No offense to all you big donors and premier ticket holders but I hope all 600 of these go to the students. If the rest of us want tickets to the game just buy Albany season tickets and leave the SEFCU a ghost town for any game but Siena.

Around the 7:13 mark the UAlbany AD states they are going to try to get sponsors involved in the future and possible split the proceeds in half. I'm assuming he's talking about the revenue from the sponsors and not the gate.

So now we're using an exempt tournament event in order to keep this game going?
The gift that keeps on giving.

So even if we win,Gorvy still isn't satisfied. Sometimes it isn't all about the money....it's about the game. Really..... he twisted my words -- a tried and true tactic when one has lost the debate.

Be shocked if we ever see this tournament come off-- very expensive to bring in a few teams- Albany doesn't draw and Siena's attendance ..we shall see

If you did and you were invited with a possibility of playing Duke.....there is no way you (a player or fan) would say no. It's an outstanding game for the players, fans & school........

Loved hearing on Channel 6 tonight that UA is now able to dictate terms re our own fogging home court! We also, per a TU survey, havw fallen WAY behind UA in terms of being the stronger program in the area. A proud week for Siena hoop. But then, we are where some want us to be - Jimmy keeps saying we are on par with UA. So depressing and he seems content!

Just a bone to keep the nay sayers at bay for a year or two. Siena, as we currently sit, has zero chance of attracting ANY high majors into a tournament at the TUC! Just more BS - all part of the 5 year plan.
