help with recruiting especially big men...help with coaching the bigs...help with pregame strategizing and in game adjustments...maybe help with moderating JP's occasional in game tirades...just help...no brainer as far as I can tell. I thought his issues at Iona ended up being personal with the administration rather than basketball related. I could be very wrong but that was my impression. Sent from my SM-G900P using proboards Going 2-28 couldn't have helped either.

Wow, I would have left Iona too. Wait, I never would have worked for Iona in the first place.

Seems like an awful lot of "personality" on one bench.

Seems like an awful lot of "personality" on one bench. Yeah but they have great bodies too. And that's more important.

My concern is more existential. Unlike the Hadron Collider, the confluence of these guys really could cause a tear in the universe. At the very least, a disturbance in the force.

Seems like an awful lot of "personality" on one bench. Don't two negatives make a positive? School math was a long time ago but that saying sounds familiar. I'll apply it to this situation (only because I want it to work out). I also have my dollar and a dream.

I'm sure he still sees himself as a head guy and doesn't seem like the type to sit quietly on the bench if he disagrees with Jimmy. Seems like 2 "A-type" personalities. I thought the same thing about Mike Deane, and he seems to have fit in nicely as an assistant at James Madison. So it can work. Probably comes down to Jeff Ruland's motivation for wanting to get back on the bench, that is, on it, not standing in front of it.

whats going on with this? Dead issue? Yeah. Apparently, JP offered and Ruland came in for a 2nd interview per admin's request. They rescinded the offer.
