Good thing Siena avoided Ruland since it appears they didn't have a shot at Chukwu anyways.

Personally I didn’t put much stock in that anyhow, he never once mentioned us, only thing we ever heard was vague references that Siena would be involved if we signed Ruland. I’m fine with new coach , I’m willing to keep an open mind with him- Happy to see one coach go- not that I had anything personally against Luke, just that the staff was much too Baltimore centered with guys from that area – not to mention too Loyola centered with the majority of 3 coaches experience only at Loyola Hope to see us Recruit NY/ NYC/ Jersey’ Philly and New England - our traditional recruiting grounds over the years . I will be very interested to see how we do with Anthony Lamb – Staff has been on this kid last 18 months or more. His recruiting is starting to heat up, nothing crazy mainly mids- this is type kid successful coaches at Siena have been able to land – really want to see Jimmy start landing above MAAC level recruits- something he was never able to do at Loyola ( he only signed one 1st team ALL MAAC player out of high school in 9 years) heck he only one other player that made 3rd team in Robert Olsen - Jimmy bread and butter at Loyola was transfers, he never recruited top notch 4 year players at loyola- solid but not ALL MAAC quality

Isn't your last sentence extremely telling Tony? The guys been in the MAAC forever and can't pull it off with his recruiting yet people laud him as a great recruiter. Maybe with Wright or Nico he'll start a trend.

Jimmy is making headway with the City Rocks, and two of his top recruits this year, one of them Lamb, are on the CR roster.

HJ - besides combo forwards what's the next priority a big man? I would think with Smithen joining we are good at guard. If we get a third ship another shooter is alway welcome

In fairness to Jimmy - has has landed a vast majority of kids he has targeted - problem is so far the bar has been set fairly low - Time for Jimmy to set the bar higher- recruit like his job depends on it-- because it does

If not I think it has more to do with work ethic than ability.

Sorry fellas, but I can't tell you how many times over the years out here, I heard, "The assistant coaches recruit the kids, and the head coach closes on them." We upgraded in two of those spots this offseason.......lets see how it goes.

If we get a third ship another shooter is alway welcome I'd say a 2 or 3 and a defensive big man. Long will be a senior so having his replacement at the wing is important. If that's found to be Clareth then recruit a 2. But if Clareth ends up being more a 2 then get a 3. I'd also stay on shooters, especially if LaRose ends up not being a sniper. Even if LaRose can shoot, you can never have too many shooters, especially as a mid-major. Then like HoopJunkie said, we need a replacement for Silas on defense. Well a priority seems to be a forward given we are hot after Lamb and Truehart

Best wing available, shotblocker, and an athletic 4 man or combo forward.
What's the deal with Justin Gorham? Still on him?

Bisping, Long, Brandwijk, and Fisher is what we'll have. Long is a combo. Bisping AND Long will be seniors and that's if Bisping stays. Shotblocker for sure. That's huge. Guard yes. 3rd scholly, if it exists, should be another athletic guy with length and athleticism...either a versatile PF or a long wing.

We are recruiting forwards heavily on Lamb and Truehart so Gorham fits the vein too. Tertsea is a rim protector an dmaybe JAck Lieb is too. Hopefully there are few more in that mode too. Most likely a third opens up and we get a shooter. Don't go crazy, I am only basing that on the statistical probability based on D1 transfer rates.
