Yes - Congrats to them and all the Siena grads today! I was at the graduation and it was very nice. Had a prominent speaker in Jeff Immelt, the CEO of GE. Really good speech. At the end got a short surprise appearance by Senator Chuck Schumer. Think his daughter graduated from Siena a few years ago. As always, a good speaker and nice to have him in attendance.
I also had the honor of meeting a father of one of the grads. He was in his Army uniform - not sure of his rank, but I know he had a lot of stripes and colored ribbons. He was the ROTC commander here for several years after he had served 4 tours in Iraq. He mentioned he had a special connection to the BB team as Justin Love-Smith was a 'cadet' under him at ROTC. He was not from this area originally and is now serving in Germany. But his son was impressed enough with Sienal to stay and attend school here and graduated today. He was also in his full uniform as he was commissioned yesterday and his father had the honor of giving him his first salute. A real special weekend. Best of luck and safety to them both!
