I don't know a lot of empty seats center court and at times I saw a few almost empty rows. It wasn't just the end sections opening up this yr .... half way through the season a lot of season tix holders stayed home. Attendance was definitely off! Maybe you haven't noticed, but this is a front-runner town. We lose, people don't come. UA starts winning, people start going there. It's not rocket science. And when we start winning again, guys like 90210 will in the back row with green and gold pom poms like nothing happpened. You're right hj. For the past 40 years, when the team is down there's 2500 of us hanging in there. Things pick up, we had 5000. When we're on top we get 6 to 8 thousand. That's why this next season is so important ($ wise). I think our boys are going to pick it up in the fall and by Jan. we could be back into the 6-7 thousand average.

Again, this really makes no sense after I just told you I was at the game during the snowstorm (among most others) and then label me as a front runner fan. You'll make any attempt to take a shot at someone who disagrees with you though lol

Seems been over the recruiting efforts over and over of what makes Siena special. Good academic school, great attendance, good arena, basically nice area to live in. IMHO I still believe most of the recruiting challenges revolve around admissions, some must also be placed on the old boys club. Siena is a business, like it or not again imho there is not enough turnover, change in the organization. Like it or not BBall is a major revenue source when properly administered, not basically abused as it has been over the last several coaching adventures. To end this opinion time for the admin to put up or shut up.
Don't want to support the coaches ,fan base bad basically the players by placing a team to represent the school then go back to D2 or 3.

"Recruiting is simple in college basketball: elite talent will go to the best schools with top coaches and the nicest facilities " Sporting News. We're not Duke, we're not Kentucky, we're not even DePaul, we are Siena: the definition of mid-major. Embrace her for what she is.

Mid Majors are David's ... And what makes college basketball exciting is when a David beats a Goliath I agree. Siena will always be a "David" but it's time for us to be one of the top mid-majors again. We have done it many times before. We have all the infrastructures in place to do so.

Thank you for the feed back. Short and sweet, the NCAA has a challenge with the transfers rat. Siena a mid major has challenges in loosing coaches by their own success, administration lost when it comes down to hiring new coaches, trying to take the inexpensive way, Admission challenges as far as JO players. If you are going to compete play by the same rules cannot hold yourself to a higher standard and than complain.
