Can we surmise that since we have 1 ship open and cam gottfried hasnt announced his intention to transfer that he is getting the last golden ticket? Or will that play out in the next month or two. I'm holding out longer before I accept that CAMs getting a ship.

Hooligan, BU is a very good school in a great city. Maybe that is enough of a draw for a kid looking for more than the Capitol District. Or maybe the coach is calmer there. Thank you. I know quite a lot about bu - very good school. I really want ppc's insight. I want to see if Jo left for academic opportunities or educational opportunities. Or did he just want the opportunity to follow the patriots Red Sox celtics and b's. Lots of opportunities out there.... Per the TU & Saratogian interviews with Hurley, JO wanted a big city experience (otherwise he could have gone to A10 school in the boonies).

Unless Siena can recruit a can't miss big-man I believe Siena should honor our commitment to Cam Gottfried.Show some of that Siena integrity-of-old and give this life-long fan some renewed pride in being a Siena faithful!GO SAINTS!!

In your world "integrity" means giving a ship to an obvious D-II player who is the son of a friend, who didn't play last year and won't play any meaningful minutes in the future. Take my advice, don't ever apply for a job at IONA!

Fine! Let’s be overjoyed at someone leaving the program! How it MIGHT have set the program back! Remember the concept of TEAM FIRST ?! LOYALTY ?! As someone who works with kids…some just don't understand those ideas! It’s sad really! He's just that, a kid. This is college basketball we're talking about..a game, not his life. He is allowed to change his decision. Basketball is just a part of his life, not the whole thing. You can't confine these young basketball players to your perfect ideologies. That is selfish fandom, they are allowed to change their minds such is life.

I, for one think JO got what he wanted. A chance to get to know another city. Boston is awesome and he will hopefully have a great time there, get a good education and continue to develop and mature into the fine young man he showed us he can be. The basketball will be fine! He can play and will play, probably in numerous places around the world. He worked hard on his game for much of his life so that it could provide opportunities. Now we question his motives as he takes advantage of those opportunities?

How do you beat up a kid for doing the same? The landscape has changed. Deal with it.

Hard to take his comments seriously when he tell everyone else to Knock It Off then bashes JO. What a douche

There isn't a whole lot of action and unexpected life experiences going on in Albany. When shit happens and you want to change your life around, why stay where things stay the same and everyone knows your name? I made the exact same move, although I did it after college.
I don't blame JO. He was supposed to leave last year. His heart wasn't in it here. It's not like this was a super shocker. The kid always wanted to get away, that's why he wanted JMU.
The only difference is that he had a decent year and people are upset to see him go. If he had left last year as was rumored, we wouldn't even be talking about it right now.

Right, we'd be talking about the 3 and 28 season we just endured.

Maybe academics was a big part of his decision. I know BU is now in the Patriot Leg, and is very good academic school. If so the kid is thinking long term and not short term.
