I'd recommend getting in this season, only because after this yr (when we win) there'll be a mad rush of people trying to get seats back. I was able to upgrade my seats from 104, N to 121, E back in the Breyer years. best move I made. So do you prefer that side of the court? Why? For me it wasn't as much the side (104 behind visitors bench & 122 facing visitors bench) as it was moving from row N to E (closer to court). Nothing wrong with 104, 105 & 106, rather I like being closer to court. Now that I'm in 121 and got to know people around me (Go Siena, Mr Siena, Rizman, Raceredge, etc. plus all the others who don't have Iser Names for this site). I'm staying even if I had opportunity for better seats.

Curious, how many guys bought season tickets after a "big" (20+ wins)? How many bought them once they moved to the Knick from the ARC? Did anyone buy season tix after a real bad year?? I wouldn't expect a lot of people to buy them now after a tough year(s), but it'll all come back once the winning starts again. ps--it's a lot more rewarding when you stay with the team during the tough times, then it is to jump back on the wagon before it gets too crowded I usually went to around 6-8 games a year since I was about 15 or 16 years old. I bought my first season tickets after Fran's first year (which I went to about 10 games). Call it a premonition or luck but I had the feeling a huge run was coming on and it certainly did. I am definitely not a front runner but I also have to watch my money carefully. After Mitch's first year I went back to cherry picking games (using my student ID for $8). But I watch/listen to just about every minute of every single game rooting hard for the team. I would like to buy season tickets in the future but want to see Siena getting back to being a top flight program first before I commit the money. I will admit when the team is struggling (even if money wasn't an issue) sometimes it is just easier to watch on TV at home. I don't think it makes me a bad fan just human nature. I am pretty optimistic this season will be much better. We need to win at home like we did in Jimmy's first year to start with. The road wins will follow.

That's how I upgraded back in Beyer's yrs. I'll laugh at SF when he comes crawling back in a year or two and complains how he's now stuck in corners or upper deck. Us fans who stick thru the bad yrs will still have our seats or better ones if we upgrade due to departures.

If history tells us anything...even if they "win this year" lol (not happening)...It won't be long after that they hit rock bottom again. It's the decision making that has not only pushed many of us away it has done so permanently. Some of you laugh or make jokes about "when we come back". Some of us have put a lot of time and effort into promoting the program. How many times have we migrated this site to keep it free and reliable or developed new content. We have spent a LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT to increase fan support etc. The leaders of this program have absolutely shat all over the fan base with the decision making. It's an absolute trainwreck... And I'm done... Permanently. You may see me check in with friends here etc but you will never see me commit to any sort of effort or money until at a minimum ... D'Argenio is gone and I see some sort of sign of consistency... And I doubt we see that any time before my 6 yr old graduates high school. It WAS something I wanted to share with him. Thanks for effing that up.

The only difference I see is those looking for "excuses" to not go to games or not renew their season tickets, whereas others (myself included) look for "reasons" to stay and continue promoting the Program/Team/Players/Coaches. I don't enjoy losing but I'm not bailing because they lose or I disagree with how it's run/coached/played. I did attend/graduate Suena and I'll be damned if I ever stop supporting them.

Look, anyone who can't continue being a fan or supporting the Team/program - I understand. Do what you feel is best for you.
I plan on continuing being a fan/supporting the team/Program even if we continue to lose, hire crappy coaches, lose every fan but myself & my Mom.
Who's with me & my mom?
Let's do it!

I wouldn't expect a lot of people to buy them now after a tough year(s), but it'll all come back once the winning starts again. As for fans coming back- I’m sure Siena is counting on that and you could be right, but the longer the bad or mediocre years last the less likely it is to happen. Siena has never been bad or mediocre this long since returning to D1- so this is really uncharted waters. Add to that fact Siena is charging 2 or 3 times what other MAAC programs charge. Everyone has their breaking point- let’s hope Siena/ Jimmy has a good year this year – and Jimmy can land some of his priority recruits, Because if not the chorus to ditch so-so jimmy will grow this year, since the late 70’s no coach has ever survived after posting two straight losing seasons

Should Albany change conference in basketball... And again junkie alumnus are going to look for any reason to hang on. Non alumnus are going to reach the breaking point sooner. As Tony pointed out...Patsos saying Siena is no different than AE, MAAC schools who are charging a fraction. With the decisions of late (last 5 years) Siena should look at upgrading the ARC and move back. The ticket prices vs product makes zero sense

This is actually an issue many organizations go through when they attempt to grow. The people who got them to this level often do not have the skills to take them to the next level. Siena suffers from this big time. They have very nice people working there but who has on their resume "been there done that" for being prt of taking an organization to the next level. To Alabnys credit they go out and get ADs from higher level schools who have been part of larger organizations and know what to do. We hire ex- Siena athletes or people who will work cheap. If we want to grow part of the investment has to be investing in some better Admin talent with the right experience. Do this correctly and we will get better and athletic revenue will increase as well.

The Patsos principal, shoot your mouth off before your brain is loaded......... How's that it's all about the MAAC or Siena's on the same level with Albany working out? So-so-Jimbo has his work cut out for himself. Not only to put a winning combination on the floor but to keep the remaining fan base intact. No easy feat here boys.

Football will have Albany moving up in conference. Their basketball has been very consistent at their level in both the men's and women's side the past few years. Siena is what it is, its a small private school who has had a little success in basketball. Season ticket holder numbers will remain pretty steady, new people will take over for some of the lost ones. Not much to do in Albany during basketball season. I know I look forward to a night out to go to the TUC win or lose.

Now that Jimmy has been to the last Dead concert he will have one less distraction and can focus more on Siena hoops. Let's hope they make some positive impressions over the upcoming Live Periods and remembers to pack some close with SIENA written someone on them.
