Just watched the Siena vs Louisville NCAA game again. This time I stopped the VHS (yes VSH) tape when Siena was up 4. This way Siena didn't lose that game. I found it interesting that the announcers said that Siena "only committed 4 fouls in the game" with 9 mins to go in second half. Wouldn't it be cool for the 2015-16 team to be able to try that?

Good players and well coached ... I really miss those days!
Let's see if we can turn a corner this year.

Probably the proudest I've been as a Siena fan after a loss.
That game still has many Siena fans thinking - what if? If Siena holds on to the lead they go to the sweet 16 and wear the home whites against 12th seeded Arizona in Indianapolis.

That was a great run and memory for Siena fans. A once in a while run for teams in the Maac, to expect Siena or any other Maac team to win a second round game and knock off a #1 seed is pure delusion. Things will get better its part of the cycle in the maac. Once Siena gets some shooters and develops a 3 point game from more than one position they will succeed again. The 2 and 3 need to be a 3 point threat when your pg isn't a shooter. I hope the newcomers can shoot and make Siena basketball fun to watch again.

Definitely not delusional when you're down 1 with 4 mins to go and down 4 with 17 seconds. Call it an incredible upset and extremely unlikely, if you want, but they proved it is not delusional.

and no bench. taught/instructed to never foul. Agreed, they played aggressive and didn't foul much. The other thing about that game is Siena didn't have any or many TOs until toward the end of the game. However, we turned over Louisville (or they simply TO on their own). That'll always keep you in the game low fouls committed (while playing aggressive & low TOs but TO the other team).

Delusional if they think that is possible every year. That was a great run, not the norm. That game showed how good Moore was, Louisville couldn't rattle him or force turnovers. They caused problems for some of the best teams that season.

Delusional fans watch games over and over hoping for a different outcome. Sorry guys it's always going to be a loss.

Welcome back, David Ortiz.

Welcome back, David Ortiz. I said it was a great run. To think its going to happen anytime soon is delusional. Blaming Mitch is an easy way out from reality. It may happen again, it took the Sox a while to win a world series from 1918.

I re-watch many Siena games. While I joke about wanting to see a different outcome to the Kansas, Pitt, Villanova, Louisville, etc games - I'm just talking. Those games still get me pumped up and even get goose bumps when we come back and almost pull it off.
Some day Siena will make the sweet 16 or beyond. I just hope it's in my life time so I can experience it.

Right now, we just want to be back in the running for our conf. And, yes, Moore was phenomenal.

I don't consider myself delusional (although others may think I am) but Siena was on the verge of taking down the number 1 seed (Louisville). Everyone there that day thought it was possible. Of course it didn't happen but we're not delusional for thinking it was possible that day. Of course we're not saying it'll happen on a regular basis but that day it could have. To think otherwise is delusional.
