From Siena.edu “The first women's basketball team in MAAC history to win three national postseason tournament games, Siena (22-12) will play for the WBI Championship. The other semifinal out of the West Region, featuring top-seed Louisiana and No. 5 seed Oral Roberts, will be contested in Lafayette, La. Thursday night at 7 p.m. If Louisiana wins, Siena would head to the bayou for a 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT) tip Sunday. If Oral Roberts wins, Siena College would host a national postseason tournament championship game at the ARC for the second straight season Sunday at 2 p.m. The men's team won the College Basketball Invitational in Loudonville last season.”

This will be a great thing for next year. Jacques is steadily building a top competitor, and they are young.

Big difference is that team has won 22 games and was a winner before the tourney started --- they earned this invite unlike the men last year.

Don't be so bitter Gorvy. The Siena team earned last year's bid by their play down the stretch. We get you hate Patsos for some reason, but don't let that color your entire view of Siena basketball. At least enjoy the success of last year's team post season effort.

At least enjoy the success of last year's team post season effort. I went to every game and unlike some I defend the cbi as a great experience. However, no losing team should be getting a postseason invite out of the maac. It has nothing to do with bitterness, I would say the same whether it was siena or Marist. Btw I have no hatred for siena basketball or patsos -- if he is right for the program next season will be a winning one.

I had a great time sitting and cheering with people like greenblood, IndianSaint and friends last night. Best women's game I've seen this year. We had a lot of fun. The girls played their butts off.

Was at the game behind the bench. Impressed by Siena coach. Knows her hoops. Handles the officials well. Women certainly know how to play D. Should be mandatory for men to attend womens game and have a question session next day. Perhaps we are looking at the next mens coach. Congrats to the ladies.

That's inappropriate for this thread. You and Roberts should take yourselves elsewhere.
