This is fun for misspractice. It balances out all the time he spent defending Mitch. Another year of this and he will regain his equilibrium. Trust me Bill, the last four years have been anything but fun. All of you Mitch bashers are the rallying cry for Patsos because you can't accept NOTHING is changed and, as Tony so often says, we are stuck with this guy for a couple more years. I'm glad you like the guy and the job he is doing - you probably have a complete wardrobe with "Wait till next year!" emblazoned on it.

Nice try.. Jimmy team was good when Frans teams were good..Jimmy team was good when he won MAAC he finished 2nd in regular season to Iona--- so nice try on Siena Iona and Mahattan down-- but dont let the truth get in the way of your fantasy-- the more you look the more you see the agenda you have 2013 - 2nd place (Iona 1st, Manhttan 3rd, Siena 9th) 2012 - 2nd place (iona 1st, Manhattan 3rd, Siena 6th) 2011 - 5th place 2010 - you know... Frans last year, Loyola 9th 2009 - you know... the year before Fran's last year, Loyola 8th 2008 - Loyola 4th coincidentally... Iona 7th and Manhattan 8th 2007 - Loyola 4th coincidentally... Manhattan 5th and Iona 10th 2006 - Loyola 6th (Manhattan 1st, Iona 2nd) 2005 - Loyola 9th 2004 - Loyola 10th I think "good" is a stretch ... respectable... maybe ... but not "good" when Fran was here. The MAAC losing Fran, Mihalich, Willard helped him greatly... not to mention Rohrssen and Mitch helping his cause. any signature wins in there? ... Loyola went from shite to respectable. Ill give him that... but make no mistake... the soft scheduling that is now part of the Siena program helped as well. no agenda... but your statement that they were good when Fran was here is not true... and in fact... Iona and Manhattan shitting themselves during those years helped bring loyola from 6th or lower up to 4th. Generally if one of the maac powers (Iona Manhattan Siena ... and to a lesser extent Niagara when Mihalich was here... if any of those programs had down stretches some other school like a Loyola etc would pop up for a year or two. The MAAC is currently Iona and Manhattan... until Siena proves they can be a part of that group again. Nobody disagree the MAAC is currently Iona and Manhattan -- and well all know Siena needs to join that group-- and the question can Jimmy get us there? We shall see -- but save the deep analysis-- you conveniently skipped the years that don't fit your agenda -- let it play out.. Jimmy will either sink or swim..very soon..no more excuses for Jimmy

You have such a disdain for his style, you must be rooting for him to fail at this point.

You have a short memory MP. I was with you in suggesting that Mitch, having been hired, deserved a couple of year to see if he could be a head coach at Siena. After the beginning of year three it was evident that he was not going to make the case. I never bashed Mitch, but when he proved he couldn't get it done, I supported his dismissal.
If you are not having fun bashing Patsos at every turn, why do you continue? Life is too short not to have fun.

Where was Siena 2007 and 2008.. and where was Niagara who was good most years back then-- -- you make it sound like only reason Jimmy had good years because Siena iona and Manhattan were down-- and that's quite simply not the case -- stop trying to make a case that isn't there-- not sure what part of let it play out Jimmy will sink or swim you don't understand ? No more excuses..

Since you obviously like his style, please list all of his strengths that so fill you with rapture and visions of MAAC Championships. Have at it - should be easy for you. OBTW, I did enjoy the CBI run but I didn't see any brilliant coaching, just gutsy no quit play from the kids - similar to the team that ignored Lanier at the end. I am not rooting for him to fail, in my book he already has. 500 ball is what we will be lucky to get and that's a pretty good example of failure in this Program.

I'm not surprised that you would jump to the conclusion that I like his style in the absence of any supporting evidence, since you don't seem to think very rationally. There are elements of his coaching style that I don't like. There are other things he does that I DO like, like the non-basketball enrichment type stuff, etc. What I don't do is come out here like a broken record taking shots at EVERY opportunity to bitch about it. God forbid he wins the MAAC next year, you won't know whether to shit or go blind!

He was an (alleged) walk call away from keeping Fran and the boys from having a chance to beat Vandy. Frans team had a way of playing to the level of their competition Nice twist

Then went 6, 15, 18 and 19 wins in his first 4 years. Only one that can see that's a great job, at that school, definitely has an agenda.

I'm saying it wasn't all that special. I understand he frequents your establishment and you're going to jump to his defense. Loyola did have some ok teams once in a while before him. But it is no coincidence that his success came right around the same time the league turned over nearly every coach. He did take them from awful to respectable... but again... nothing really special. He is going to have to prove that he can build a winner here ... AND prove that he can sustain it, avoiding the roller coaster... which he didn't really do at Loyola.
