Wright should shoot 200 3's a day, and Lavon should tie his left arm to his body, and dribble with his right hand between cones an hour a day.

Lavon started off well while Bisping was targeted early. Could have been his illness but his 4.2 were the reality at that time. When he went down Lavon's fouls went up because Lavon had to play more inside. Not an excuse. Lavon got Big man fouls playing center for his 1st 3 years of HS. that's the so called rep. In AAU when he played on the perimeter or before HS he did not have a chronic fouling problem. Lavon needs to bring his down no matter where he plays....but some of you claimed he got them because he was playing the 3 and that's not the case He fouled lot in AAU as well. He fouled out most games getting 6 fouls. He's always had foul problems. It comes from being lazy and not moving his feet most times. He uses his hands and chess to much instead of using his feet. He does do good job of taking charges. This is a lie. Slim is a proven hater..please move on with your life. You coached him for 3 months and have a personal problem with me so you are lying about his game.

I believe there is a limit on practice time and I would be surprised if the team spends less time in practice mode than is allowed. Just my .02. well oliver will be a senior on bad knees... i think his lack of penetration and slashing are due to his health. I think game in and game out (from what I have seen) he isn't sure where he will be physically, some games he looks spry and loose, others, he looks like me at 42 playing hoop..... he isn't going to be slasher, just not in the cards. Wright can certainly improve his shooting, but he has some elite talents too, if he was the whole package he wouldn't be here. I am not getting the Bisping-Long thing. Brett has fouled out i think in 10 games in his career and several were against A-10 teams. He certainly fouls, but not to an extent it is a habitual issue that we are seeing with long. The small sample this year for Brett, w/ several games vs up teams and the kid just back from mono makes for a hollow argument. Definitely concerned where the outside game and 3's will come from next year.... esp watching siena's half court sets now which usually devolve into a hoisted 3 as the shot clock expires. Brett started out at 4.2 I am not saying he stays there but Lavon did not get as many in those games. Lavon still gets to many but without Brett and Silas he got more than last year

I would summarize Lavon's weaknesses as follows: 1) Plays defense more with his hands and chest instead of his feet( which I believe is the major reason why he and most of his teammates get so many fouls called on them) 2) Either an inability or unwillingness to go right and finish with right hand (necessity if you think he is a 3) 3)Lack of rotation on his jump shot (also a necessity if you think he is a 3) PPC- we all want Lavon to reach the potential that we believe he has- in order to do that he needs to recognize his weaknesses. If he wants to become a complete player he will need to work his butt off this off season and work on the weaknesses in his game. Ryan Rossiter became a complete package by his senior year because he identified the weaknesses in his game, then worked his ass off to eliminate those weaknesses to become a dominant player by his senior season. MAAC MVP his senior year on a terrible team because he was unstoppable in the paint with his left or right hand. I hope Lavon wants it that bad because we need him to be a top MAAC team next year. Everyone on this board, regardless of the comments, wants him to succeed. He's a great kid and he deserves this success. Everyone on this board does not want him to succeed but that's okay. I have said he is not a finished product and will continue to work on his weaknesses. Its a few on this board that have counted him out and are looking for a replacement. I have complete faith that Lavon will continue to improve and so that he will keep his spot in the playing group and his role on the team. I can't wait to say I told you so

I want him to succeed—and I also want an experienced 3. For a few reasons, that will motivate Lavon to improve, plus we have more players for the 3- can’t put all your eggs in Lavon’s basket given his fouling problems, even if Lavon gets beat out at 3, he would play 25 min a game – which again helps his fouling issue can’t ignore it anymore or hope it magically goes away, If Jimmy put all his faith in Lavon at three he does so at his own risk- no excuses next year it’s his team

All of the eggs are not in one basket. I am all for bringing in players to challenge for every position. The cream will rise to the top. Bringing Lavon off the bench won't help his foul trouble and won't give us our best start. They are separate issues. The time to beat Lavon out was the last 2 years. His best years are ahead of him. Yes competition is good for him and the team. But I wouldnt Beat against him.

That's fine PPC-- and I don't necessarily disagree with you-- But I still want a experienced 3, if Lavon beats him out, good for Lavon, if the experienced 3 beats out Lavon, well he would have to be a good player-- either way as a fan I'm a winner. Given how critical next year is I am uncomfortable with Lavon as only option at 3. And as Hoopjunkie correctly said , coming off a 10 win season no position is safe next year -- doesn't mean I am a hater ( I really want Lavon to succeed) I want a top 4 competitive MAAC team more than anything

I have complete faith in that. Winning games will prove it. Also we have several players on the roster that will play the 3. We can go big or small when we want to again with the pieces we have

PPC Lavon is a fine young man. Has a good work ethic. Is the fouls situation all his fault...no. But it is the mental fouls that get him in trouble. Reach in fouls 70" form the hoop. Foolish fouls that would stop if he would slow down and think. Obviously you love him and want him to succeed. Sithim down and talk with him.
