PPC everyone fouls. Lavon just needs to stop making the 2 foolish fouls everygame either out of frustration or taking chances. he is a good player. Now I blame his problems on the current coaching staff. Just say Lavon don't go near anyone 70' from their basket when they have the ball. It's the foolish fouls that frustrate Lavon, us and you as well.

There are many tricks of the trade and the more experience you have in the trenches the more you can get away with and gain an advantage. That's why freshmen big men take time to make an impact. It is a war in the paint every night. Lavon grew up under the no blood no foul rule so I guess this is all my fault Lavon is not the only kid to grow up playing under the no blood no foul rule, most kids do. This is organized basketball with rules and he must adjust to stay on the floor. I agree it is your fault. KK made a simple suggestion that might help keep him on the floor and you knocked that down. The only person you listen to when it comes to his game is you. As a parent, and former player such as yourself who played at a high level, it is inexcusable that Lavon continues to struggle with fouling. That's your opinion and you love to express it here. I am still wondering why? Patsos and the staff are coaching Lavon while I continue to advise him. Lavon will be fine. He is not a finished product.

He needs to play smart position defense without using his hands. The challenge for him is to not try to make up for a missed shot or turnover right away and foul. He has proven able to play long stretches without fouling. But big men get fouls inside every game and that is where most of his come from. We miss the 10 fouls Brett and Imoh had to give in there.

This team should not be pressing as much as it does. And that goes for the poor zone they play too. Play man, I rather give up 2 points instead of 3.

I express my opinion because you decided to brand me a liar on this board when I gave my honest thoughts on Lavon's game before the start of last season. Since it did not fit the agenda you were trying to sell the Siena Board as him being the next Lebron James, you went personal. I think two years of him leading the NCAA in fouls proves my opinion was fact. This will continue to be a topic of discussion next year if you don't stop making excuses.

You are here to discuss Lavon Long and to harp on his struggles and that's why I called you a liar and a hater. I have no excuses and neither does Lavon. Please move on with your life and worry about yourself. All of your post have something to do with PPC or Lavon. #GetALife

We get in a hole playing zone along with our great press and then turn to man to make a come back. It can't hurt, we foul in man & foul in zone plus we're not winning anyway. Give it a try

PPC we seem to agree. When playing the press Lavon just needs to be extra careful. Lavon a good kid, intelligent, like posted prior he makes 2 foolish fouls a game. IMO he will wake up one morning after being talked to by the coach's, you that the proverbial epiphany will occur. He will be fine, but again must think when defending in the backcourt.

Most just look at the numbers for progress but you have to look at the type of fouls as well. Lavon has been playing a lot more 4 and 5 than 3 lately and it started when we loss Silas and got worse when we lost Bisping. Lavon is getting big man fouls inside...not fouls on the perimeter so much. Some are still saying he is fouling by playing out of position after not even watching the games. He will continue to improve just like he did by Jr year in HS. His team won the BCL that year and Lavon was around at the end of the game to hit 11 of 11 FTs and win a close game. He made the All Tournament team.

Right now we have 4 good players (two of which are banged up) and 5 complete yo-yos.

What we're doing now, isn't working.....(I know we don't have the players, players are hurt) everyone won't foul out playing man...... And the biggest reason to play man, we can't play zone. Every time, some one is out of position. Our defense is "lets hope the other team isn't on" How's that working for us................
