Yup, he did go off on "Slice" (who's coaching at #1 UK now) for some rough fouls by his kids. Let's not forget the Willard/Holy Cross debacle. Fran went ballistic on Ralph too. Ending the series over a beef, and publicly bashing him. HC wasn't a debacle on Fran's part HC was over the top physical and Fran was completely in the right on that one. I never said he was right or wrong. I said it was a debacle with Fran involved. There's times I think Jimmys right for acting a fool, just like Fran did sometimes.

It was, to say the least. Fran's guys were getting hammered left and right, and then I think it was Kenny who got absolutely leveled. I don't blame Fran for his reaction. I thought that it was deserved, and that he was sticking up for his players. They will tell you the same thing. I have talked to a number of players/coaches on this team. And while Jimmy can be be tough- they all respect and admire him!

I'm less concerned about how much Jimmy gets into it with his assistants. As some have said, Jimmy can't help it and/or it's who he is. If Luke & Greg haven't figured it out working with him over the years I'm sure they know by now. They're still with him, maybe they understand it's an act or it's simply Jimmy. What ever it is, they're still with him. Must be a reason. As to the "....can't help it and/or it's who he is" reference, in what employment environment is that kind of behavior acceptable? If you, me or anyone else behaved that way, we'd be disciplined in some fashion.......fined, suspended, referred for counseling, etc.......because we would be creating a hostile work environment for everyone around us. And if the behavior continued, we'd be gone. Same rules should apply here. I know that coaches have gotten away with this kind of stuff for as long as there have been coaches, but it shouldn't be that way. If they can't control their emotions any better than we have witnessed, maybe this isn't the right profession for them. I was referring to GB's ADD reference, I truly believe he can't help himself and this is who he is. Siena knew this or should have known this and still hired him. As long as he's our coach I will continue to support him and the team (even if he or the team lose the games). I've done this with all the coaches from when I started (Deane). I'm not going to change now just because of difficult times. If the assistants were that upset they'd quit and find another coaching job. I guess what I'm getting at is since they don't move in they must accept Jimmy and his style. I wouldn't worry or feel sorry for them because they're big enough to know when they've had enough and do something about it (confront him or find another job).
