I see Nico Clareth as the “next big thing” at Siena. LOL Kid has all the tools to be a very good player at Siena, Nico avg 17.1 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 2.1 APG & 1.9 SPG in the #EYBL last year--- I believe he is shooting 40% from 3 this year –folks those are some eye popping numbers. Nico isn’t ( and doesn't have to be a savior) at Siena, he is a very solid “impact” recruit that will help the team next year ..I don’t want to put too many expectations on a freshmen but Nico will get opportunity to compete for Poole’s starting position

I knew this yesterday but I know how to keep a secret Welcome Nico I was his first coach when he was 4 years old. Lavon and Nico played clinic together at Gardenville Rec center. I am so happy to see those 2 back together. #WhenItAllStarted PPC how was Nico still available ? When I see this kid play, I see the total package, he can finish at rim, nice mid range game, and I think he is shooting about 40% from 3.. he has high major athleticism, did re classifying screw up his recruitment that bad? I see as a 2016 recruit he had offers from several high majors Looks like a great get for our Saints but from the one video shown there are, or were, at least two things he needs to work on: finishing around the rim with his left and getting rid of that hitch in his shot. Overall he looks like a great commit and I too can't wait to see Nico play in the Green and Gold!

I see a lot of Hasbrouck in his game. I hope he turns into that type of leader. Great get for the program. This shot in the arm was needed. Now we need a compliment to him. A kid with good size (6'4") that shoot the 3 all day. My boy up north (LaRose) fits the bill, or you can find them in the NE Prep league too. I'll settle for a little less athleticism if he can drain a 3 whenever he catches it. We need a Scott Knapp in this class. As for a 5th kid, which I think will happen, because I do think one more current player leaves. I'd only use that scholly on a 5th year guy that can help us make a serious run next year, or I'd save it for mid season transfer that always seems to come up, but we never have the money avaiable. Who"s LaRose? Just wondering I do know the NE prep league well from placing kids there. I agree I'm fan of prep really gets kids ready long term and most are physically n mentally ready to play from day 1. Kinnon LaRose from Ogdansburg HS (NY) He's a 6'4" wing that specializes in shooting the ball. Google him. Couple nice videos.

He recently was the athlete of the week out there but I have not seen much video of him at all handling the ball. So far of the video Ive seen both Huerter and Platek offer more. It does look like hes filled out a little but the fact there seems to be little if any video of him ball handling leaves a lot of questions. who exactly are they playing up there? They played two section 2 teams and lost both... badly to Scotia. 105-22 Gouverneur 84-38 Franklin Academy 94-43 Canton 88-43 Franklin Academy 102-53 Salmon River 73-35 Potsdam 107-31 Brushton-Moira 88-49 Salmon River 93-45 Plattsburgh 93-50 Massena 111-27 Gouverneur 97-42 Canton 46-49 Cohoes50-72 Scotiaso far looks like only Hartford has offered him.

Yesterday was a great day for Nico
No. 4 Calvert Hall 43, No. 6 John Carroll 40: The host Cardinals (23-5, 14-4 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) outscored the Patriots (23-5, 12-5), 12-9, in the fourth quarter to win.
Nico Clareth led Calvert Hall with 13 points and Kimbal Mackenzie had a game-high 15 for John Carroll.

Nice pick up. Two way player with toughness and mean streak. Potential to be lock down defender, and good scorer. I hope he gets the time to develop his potential; as usual the board is heaping a ton of expectation on the kid. Jimmy tends to start upperclassmen (unless he's forced to start Fr). I'd assume Nico will be coming in off the bench and allow him the time needed to work his way into more mins/and possibly starting role later. I think too many fans are caught up on the term "starting". Jimmy may play some subs more than some starters. But, I do like what I've seen so far from Nico's video clips. Most highlight clips look good anyway.

Looks like a nice addition to the Class of 2015. Still one more to give I would think and Siena needs another athletic scoring wing player.
Like all recruits we never know how they will pan out, but I'm optimistic, he looks like a quality player who works hard on his game and in the classroom and he fills a need with the graduation of Poole and Hymes.

Awesome job by the staff, keep closing players like this and Siena will be back on top in no time.
Anyone still think that this staff does not want to battle any bigger schools for players?
Welcome Nico! Excited to see your game in the green and gold next year.
